Really tempted to buy a pair of these. I think they'd go with a lot of my clothes and could use them to dress down dresses etc. Does anyone have a pair and would recommend them? I've tried a pair on and I really like them but they look quite clumpy (I'm a size 8) but I guess this is just part of the look?

I have a pair and would recommend, although if you have any interest in current fashion, I'd buy without further deliberation. They've been around for two seasons already and the walking boot style is at peaked - once M&S start selling a style, you know it's on it way out!

Anyway, they are really comfy, mainly because they are much more lightweight than they look, so they won't feel clumpy. For that reason, and the suede, and the fact they are not actually waterproof in the technical sense, they are very much street wear. I've seen instagrammers clomping through the woods and on beaches in them, but IMO they would get trashed on any dirty terrain and they are too expensive for that!

Finally, size down half a size.

They look like hiking boots to me. I'd go caterpillar as they're less chunky.

Thank you for the tips.

Elloello this is the possibly the look OP is thinking of. Different sub-group of fashion to those who might choose Timberland, not interchangeable. It's not about any old hiking boot.

I have them and I love them. They are very comfortable and seem very strong. I have worn them for long muddy walks and they clean up very well. If the trend dies down you can still wear them for walking.

You must try them before you buy. They are very tight to start with, and the shop recommends goons down from your usual size.

I have them - they suit my lifestyle - dog walks in the rain to country pubs - I still want to feel dressed to an extent - I interchange with blundstone boots. I don't like to look too "dressed" so dressing down is certainly part of their appeal. They are lightweight but sufficiently robust, I don't worry about getting them muddy, they aren't disco wear. On fit they are quite narrow.

Ah now soggypizza

I was reading this thread because I couldn’t decide between the Nanettes and Blundestones. I obviously need both! 😂
