Properly waterproof and not frumpy coat (NOT Sea Salt)?

I need a replacement for my Sea Salt knee-length coat that leaks at the shoulder seams. I got in touch with SS who said it had come to the end of its life. WFT? It cost £150 and I expected it to last more than 3 years.

In any case, any recommendations for a not-frumpy waterproof coat suitable for autumn temperatures? Ideally not costing more than about £150!

Why don’t you try to re waterproof the coat you have? Worth a go before spending £ on a new one

Yes, I've used Nikwax on both my padded down jacket and my son's school ones - was not expensive, just 1 spin in the washing machine and made a huge difference

I was going to suggest as a previous poster has said to try and re-waterproof it. I'd be googling for advice like mad, especially if you love the coat.
I'm looking for something myself but not too warm as I just get so hot, so I will also look at all the suggestions above.
I'm currently wearing a George at Asda knee length padded coat which cost me £25 two years ago. It's great but only shower proof. After a while there's a damp feeling seeping through 😳

Rohan? Actually genuinely waterproof unlike most coats on the market.

You can look into water proof treatment, but when I accidentally washed a water proof coat I'd removed the treatment and it couldn't be reapplied. I've since purchased specific washing stuff for water proof coats so that I don't make that mistake again!

I'd recommend North Face coats.

How about this one?

Finisterre? Recycled material as well.

I have the rubberised version of Tootyfilous Hunter jacket - love it! It’s not warm though - would definitely need many layers for winter wear.

Didrikson? It's always suggested for watching children play sports in the rain, but I think they are warm, waterproof and I have seen much uglier. I have lined and unlined versions, plus the number of pockets mean you probably don't need a bag. Mine are kneelength parka styles, with hoods. I bought two, all season and winter, navy and olive, for under £200 in a farm shop sale. Price was for both, not one.

Rockholly. I always recommend this brand as I love mine - waterproof, looks brand new despite many washes, beautifully made and a small business with brilliant customer service.

Stutterheim. Love mine
