Breathable waterproof raincoat

I'm outside a lot & walk a fair bit for work. I have a rubber ish type one but it's pretty sweaty once it's been on a while I'm realising. Previously had great fully waterproof jacket but after washing it a few times it's no longer waterproof.

Any recommendations?

Seasalt. I've had mine for 5 years, still in really good condition (I wear it a lot in winter). It's never leaked, & long enough to keep my bum & upper legs dry. I re-waterproof it in summer, as long as there's a couple of good warm dry days, for drip drying it, using some stuff from an outdoor clothes shop.

I had no idea you could re waterproof. What's the best way to do that?

I use these for washing & waterproofing my coat. I did it this summer, my coat can be machine washed at home. You use the green bottle for washing & then do a separate cycle with the purple one, no spin at the end. Then drip dry (mine took a full day to dry on the line outside, on a very warm day, it needs drying outside or over a bath as it drips loads). BTW a lot of raincoats cannot be washed with regular detergent as it removes part of the waterproofing, hence the specific detergent.
