I have recently decided I really need to start a (very basic) skincare routine. I have a nivea cleanser and am after recommendations for a good, cheap toner and moisturiser for dry, rosacea prone skin. I very very rarely wear make up so don't need anything super intensive to remove it. I'm 34 if that makes a difference?

The Nivea sensitive day and night creams might be worth trying, always on offer somewhere but not more than a fiver full price (or thereabouts).

Boots Botanics organic rosewater toner is very nice, and gentle.

I'm honestly such a newbie to this, what's the difference between a day and a night cream?

Day creams for the day, make sure that if you aren't using a separate SPF (which everybody should be!) there is atleast one in your day cream. Night cream is usually abit thicker.

I love cerave products, the cleanser and basic moisturisers are brill and fragrance free.

Garnier Lavender facial oil is very good and it’s completely budget.

If I was going to suggest a decent but basic skincare routine for someone I’d say: cleanser (something of an all-rounder like Lush’s , toner, a facial oil (as above) plus an acid such as Paula’s Choice AHA at night (and it lasts forever and ever!).

l'd recommend any of Superdrug's own brand skincare. Cheap, but does the job and it's cruelty free too.

Second super drug. Especially the unscented range for sensitive skin. Dd likes boots cucumber and I've heard good things about primarks natural range.

Ooh cruelty free is a bonus! Will get myself to Boots and Superdrug I think! Thank you Smile
