Tell me about amazing work dresses for curves

I have never owned a dress for work. I wear skirts a bit (midi length stretchy pencil style mostly) and am thinking about getting myself into dresses for work this winter. Where I work is smart casual - not suits, but not jeans if that helps?! I am curvy - size 16/18 massive boobs, bit of a stomach, 5'8" tall. Never wear heels-flats only. I think my requirement from a dress are:

  • below the knee
  • sleeves
  • not skin tight/clingy
  • comfortable
  • pockets are a massive bonus!

Hit me with your recommendations if you have faithful work dresses, especially if you are a similar sort of size/shape to me.

I am hoping you can get me to a place where I actually own and wear a dress to work - so much easier to pick one thing in the morning and not have to match tops and bottoms :)

Don't think they've been mentioned but M&Co for me are great for work dresses. They always have long sleeves and flattering lengths.

Another vote for the Jaeger dress linked to by MeOnSea. I’m 16-18 with big boobs and an apple shape due to the dratted menopause. Also always wear flat shoes. I don’t usually feel comfortable in dresses, but live in these for work in winter.
V comfortable, flattering and pockets big enough for phone, keys etc.Jaeger make these in different muted colours every autumn/winter, and they are sold throughout their outlet stores or online - mine have been between £16-£30 each rather than £99 full price!

Thanks for all the suggestions, watching some of the Jaeger dress on eBay so hopefully can pick one up cheap to try it out, like the sound of it though! I wouldn't wear a wrap top or dress to work as find then too much on the boob front, even with a cami/vest under. Stretchy tops/dresses just aren't for me in a work environment, I feel too conscious of the boobage. Going to check out the Amazon one too, am intrigued. Will also aim to go at weekend to high street locally and see if M&Co / H&M / M&S have anything to offer and try lots on. Thanks guys :)
