Sagging face

droopyface · 23/09/2019 11:17

I avoid taking photos of myself now but on the rare occasion I have it is obvious that my face is sagging a lot. It's all happened so quickly over the last few years. It is stress jay has caused the aging I am sure. I am 44. What can I do to reverse or at least stop it from getting worse?

Facial yoga/exercises? Facial massage with oil. Are there specific massage techniques or any specific oils/creams that can help.

It's quite demoralising that my MIL who is 71 has better skin and an uplifted face than me.
Would appreciate any tips.

I get the microneedle rollers from Amazon. There are no marks - you shouldn't see any punctures at all - face may be a little pink afterwards but I quite like that as the pinkiness and mild swelling gives a fresh youthful look.

AutumnRose1 · 24/09/2019 13:09

swelling?

oh no.

I have a facial massager thingy, I will stick with that.

Gaining a bit of weight if you have a lowish BMI helps. As does drinking water

Wonkybanana · 24/09/2019 13:27

@katseyes7, the prices on the website you linked are ridiculous. Is it legit????

Trooperslaneagain · 24/09/2019 13:30

Water
Weight gain - older you are, the worse you look if you're too skinny. This is not a stealth boast.

(I'm 46, lost a shit load of weight through illness and my hands, neck and face look awful. I have seen better legs hanging out of a bird's nest)

There’s also the Sarah Chapman tool www.spacenk.com/uk/en_GB/accessories/tools/skincare-tools/facialift-MUK200006134.html
Boots do a cheap version as well.
It hurts to start with but if you persevere and are gentle you can introduce it and build up to a regular daily routine. I also use it on my neck and forehead. YouTube should have some tutorials.
There’s the jade and quartz roller to consider as well. Although for me it doesn’t do anymore than a facial massage when I just use my hands.
Yes to microneedling but again it has to be a regular treatment. It doesn’t hurt.
In all honesty, it doesn’t matter what you choose to do, it has to be regular and you have to use your hands, to feel your face, to reshape and be gentle to your skin and once you know your face inch by inch you will start to notice improvements.
And you can never underestimate how youthful a smiling face looks, it doesn’t matter how many lines and wrinkles and loss of firmness there is, a genuine smile makes people look so much more youthful. Sorry, I digressed here...

Fillers can knock years off you as will make your face look as it did a few years ago,at least 5,
Tried the nu face a few times, can't say it makes a big difference
My neck is the worst

katseyes7 · 24/09/2019 17:59

WonkyBanana Yes, it's legit. l've had quite a few bits and bobs from there. Some better than others. lt's very cheap but they take a good while to arrive.

PilatesPeach · 24/09/2019 19:22

I have just bought an electronic jawline definer from QVC that I am trying out it has a 60 day rather than 30 day money back guarantee

Teenlifting is the best ever. It's half hour session. They use straps like an ab belt over your forehead, chin and neck. It lifts and tones from the very first session. It's amazing, non invasive and relaxing.

princessTiasmum · 24/09/2019 19:51

Timmytoo never heard of teenlifting, sounds painful. lol

Wonkybanana · 24/09/2019 20:00

Thanks kats. I've waited this long for something to play with, I can wait a bit longer Grin.

Sarcelle · 24/09/2019 20:39

I am going to try that kissing the ceiling exercise

Branster · 24/09/2019 21:36

Caci facials use micro currents to excercise the muscles and they help with definition. Can be use all over the body as well. You probably need a series of treatments not just one. I haven’t had it done but a friend of mine loves it.
