Just wanted to thank the posters who suggested I give this a go. It's a little miracle in a tube. I read it takes up to 2 weeks to see results but I've been using it for just 4 days and its already made a massive improvement.

It is good, isn’t it... I think for anyone who gets more than the occasional spot, the best strategy is to try an over the counter medicated cream such as acnecide and then if that doesn’t work, a trip to the GP/dermatologist.

People are always recommending changing diet, trying different lotions and potions, etc but most of those things just don’t work.

It's definitely going to be a staple in my skin routine.

@Plump82 - where did you get it from, and how much is it? Can you just get it from a chemist without a prescription?

tigerbear · 07/09/2019 18:40

I’ve been using a serum that posters on here recommended, but at £12 for a tiny bottle (which I think will last about 2 weeks), it’s too expensive to buy often.

@tigerbear I actually just bought it on eBay. It was £8 which is the price most places are selling it from. It came with a slip from a pharmacy down south.

Oh wow, may I ask which company you bought it from?

You can buy Acnecide from behind the pharmacy counter in Boots. Got some today as been struggling with acne (hormonal I think). Hope it works!

Hi the company on eBay was Walton Pharmacy

Boots sell it. There are two versions, you want the gel. Apply sparingly once a day, where people go wrong with benzyl peroxide is applying too much which irritates the skin. Moisturise well. Also be aware that it will bleach clothes, bed linen and towels so personally I put it on last thing at night, use white bed linen and towels and wash my hands very thoroughly.

My local Everetts pharmacy even sell it so should imagine most do, just need to ask for it as behind the counter (cost £9.99)
