Travel makeup palette recommendation

I always really loved my Urban Decay Naked palette - with a combination of blusher, bronzer, highlighter, eyeliner, mascara, lipstick and eye shadows. I need a palette that I can throw in my bag that covers all the powders and suits an English Rose complexion. I don’t want to spend a fortune, but I don’t want to buy something useless either. Does anyone have one that they love and would recommend? The UD travel palette doesn’t look sturdy enough.

Ooh I'm following!

I find duty free the best place to buy these. I've had a Clinique one before which was a very sturdy compact and had a good size mirror, but more recently a Revlon one that I bought in tk maxx for about a fiver, just needed to add foundation and mascara.

Howzaboutye · 30/08/2019 21:47

Would that get through airport security though?

Ilikecurrybest · 30/08/2019 21:49

The Hourglass ambient lighting palettes are good. They are pricey but usually include 6 pans using including blush, bronze, face powder and highlighter.

I've put it in the plastic bag with other toiletries and it's been fine. I like a particular bourjois foundation and have found someone on eBay selling the tubes normally used as shop testers ( but not actually nicked testers!) I pack those to take away

Howzaboutye · 30/08/2019 22:16

Ah I saw a bloke nicking mascaras in boots the other day. Bet they were on eBay before the end of the day.

The Charlotte tilbury one is brilliant!

Housewife2010 · 31/08/2019 07:37

I second the Charlotte Tilbury palettes. I have the natural and the glow ones and always take one on holiday. (I also have and don't think much of the Beauty Pie dupe).

Fantastic. Thank you everyone

Hourglass palettes a PP mentioned above are fab. They're always seasonal limited editions so will be out shortly for Christmas. I have one from last year that I keep in my work bag all the time as it has a full face of powders. I use them as eyeshadows too.

Crybabyghoul · 31/08/2019 12:26

Tarte showstopper face palette

Ilikecurrybest · 31/08/2019 13:32

Yes agree the hourglass also double well as eyeshadows

Housewife2010 · 31/08/2019 14:13

I have a couple of the Hourglass six pan palettes but I prefer the Charlotte Tilbury for a full face of makeup.

GooodMythicalMorning · 31/08/2019 14:20

The Roxi revolution collabs seem quite nice, I have one of the palettes and crave the other and the highlighter palette plus they're only a tenner each (Got mine free though as its buy 2 get one free on all makeup in superdrug)

greenlavender · 31/08/2019 16:16

The do small Urban Decay naked palettes now.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/08/2019 16:26

I've been looking for one of these for ages. Number 7 used to do them years ago with an eyeliner and mascara alongside blusher and eyeshadow. Not seen anything similar.

I like the mini Naked palette but that's just eyeshadow.

Ilikecurrybest · 31/08/2019 16:41

I think pur do one that includes a lippy
And a mini mascara maybe this one purcosmetics.co.uk/products/love-your-selfie-2

Isthebigwomanhere · 31/08/2019 17:35

YSL Go anywhere pallet ?!

violetbunny · 31/08/2019 20:39

I think NARS do palettes quite well. The "Voyageur" eyeshadow ones they launched recently are quite a good travel size, you could pair with one of their blusher/bronzer duos and basically have a full face.

Deathraystare · 02/09/2019 09:03

Some of the Benefit ones are really good.
