Slim lightweight waterproof trainers

I know trainers have been done to death but I am still on the hunt. I’m currently walking around in some New Look 9-15 fake converse with pink edgings. I don’t like real converse as the rubber soles are heavy.

I’m looking for a lightweight, narrow/slim, low profile pair. White or light coloured and not canvas. My legs and feet are narrow (inverted triangle) so anything too clompy make me look odd and make me feel like I am wearing bricks on my feet. I liked the Miss Stan Smiths range as the actual Stan Smiths are too bulky for me, to give a point of reference. I tried Superga in leather but again too bulky and heavy. Same with Nike basket and Adidas gazelles.

Any ideas??

New Balance are the least bulky and slim looking trainers I have found. I am a size 8 so Vanns, Converse most Nikes all make me laugh ok like I'm wearing clown shoes especially if teamed with skinnies or leggings.

I like New Balance, they're a great trainer, stylish, slimmer and are also light. I've got a pair and DH has 3 pairs, he is a very fussy trainer wearer but the NBs are his favourite for "everyday" wear.

When you say waterproof... You can buy spray-on stuff that coats the shoe to protect them, keeps them looking good for longer.

New Balance do a size B width, better for narrow feet. The lightness varies - I have a mesh pair of theirs which is super light and another leather pair that is less so.

And of course the mesh pair would be anything but waterproof. My favourite waterproof trainers right now are Teva which haven't failed me in muddy conditions but don't look narrow.
