Can you help me choose a short haircut that is low maintenance and looks amazing?

Since giving birth 4 months ago my hair has become straw-like, easy to knot, difficult to put even a comb through after washing! That plus just having very limited time anymore to look after it, it's just a scraped back ugly mess all the time.

It's shoulder length, quite thick, and naturally wavy.

Ideally new haircut will be short enough that it takes minimal time to dry or straighten if I need. I have had a pixie cut before and don't want to go quite so short again, but am open to longer pixie cuts too.

Thanks if you can suggest any haircuts for me to consider :)

I had mine cut into a short layered bob a few months after giving birth, and love it! It can be straightened or add products to make it textured. Google that and have a look through the ideas.

Vicky McClure's hair looks amazing although I'm not sure how low maintenance it is. A lot of product involved I suspect!

I just had similar to this (that definitely isn’t me in the pic 😆) and I love it. So quick to dry and I can either blow and straighten the longer bits with a brush or just use straighteners if I want it to look a bit sleeker. I can get 2/3 days out of it as it is easy to re- style in the morning (usually just brushing back into place).

It might depend on your hair type. I did the same thing and realised the shorter my hair is the more “kinkier” it gets in that I have to blow dry or straighten it to make it wearable which is against my definition of “low maintenance” now so waiting for it to grow out a bit more.. sometimes I can fudge it a bit for a “bed hair” look with a lot of product which just annoys me because then I want to wash it the next day..
