Yes, I use it and have very good results with it. Would caveat I have PCOS and it was prescribed by a dermatologist, so the cause of hair loss is known and standard treatment is Minoxidil 5% ( I prefer the foam as the standard one leaves hair greasy).
I have side effects, it can leave me dizzy on occasion and I need to be cautious with standing up too quickly after using it. Occasionally, there's a tingling sensation but nothing truly bothersome.
I'm unfortunately also growing hair in places you don't want it, a known side effect. Having PCOS I'm used to it and equipped to deal with all manner of facial hair but I was rather taken aback to find dark hair growing underneath my eyes
not ideal but for me it still beats out the progressive thinning I had.
I was lucky to see hair restored but for most it just stops further hair loss and it's something you have to use for life, once you stop using it you will start losing all new hair growth and whatever else you're destined to lose. It's not some miracle product that will thicken out naturally thin hair, it simply gets hair follicles that have stopped functioning (for various reasons) to work again.
I'd always recommend seeing a dermatologist or trichologist about it first. It's a complete waste of money and time if your hair loss is just temporary due to stress or if it's something more serious like alopecia, but I'd especially caution with use if you have low blood pressure or some other vascular disease/symptoms.
Also, no need to buy the special women's one, the men's formulation is the same and it's unfragranced, the latter is often cheaper in multi packs of 3 or more. The only difference is, Minoxidil is more effective for women and only approved for daily use (using it more does not yield better results) where men need to use it twice daily so directions are different. There's also a different age range, men are only approved to somewhere in their forties and women can go up to 60 or 65 IIRC.
