Advice about budget brushes for Bobbi Brown products needed please

Hi
So I'm mid 40s and trying to sort out my makeup. I splurged out on a Bobbi Brown foundation stick and the compact pressed powder to go on top.
Can't afford to buy expensive brushes and my daughter reckons Primark brushes are really good.
What brushes do I need to apply these products and any recommendations for budget buys?

Many Thanks!

Real Techniques from Superdrug and Boots are not bad. Beauty Pie sets are good, if you know a member or decide to subscribe.

A Real Techniques sponge to dab the foundation in, and a big fluffy powder brush for the powder. Primark will be fine for the brush.

For application, soak the sponge until it almost doubles in size then squeeze it out until its damp. Then spot and/or stripe the foundation more or less where you want it. Use the damp sponge to blend the foundation in and add a tiny bit more to add a bit more coverage where you want it and blend.

Swirl the brush into the powder and buff all over your face. Dust brush off on a tissue or kitchen roll, or loo roll at a push, then sweep the brush all over your face again to remove any excess powder. It should take all of 5 minutes from wetting sponge to dusting off powder.

To be honest, your fingers would be just as good for blending the foundation in. I often only use fingers. The heat from your fingers helps it blend, especially a stick foundation.

I use a Real Techniques Buffing Brush or Expert Face Brush with Bobbi Brown foundation stick, they are both really good.

This set is excellent. It has a powder/blush brush, expert face brush and a sponge. The Setting brush is one of my favourites, it's good for powder under the eyes and you can also use it for highlighter or liquid foundation. The Crease brush is great for undereye concealer.

Buy them on eBay. I always do

Use your fingers to blend the stick, the heat will help it to blend smoothly. Get a Real Techniques brush for the power. Cheap brushes loose hair and may cake the powder in, don't forget to tap the powder brush on the side of a table etc so you don't go over board with it.

Real Techniques or the Superdrug B range are solid budget brands that work really well.

Wow! Thanks all. Really helpful advice. Will try real technique stuff.
