Spmu eyebrows. Tips on fading??

So I had semi-permanent ombre brows tattooed on over a year ago. They're not awful but I wish they would go now. Does anyone have any experience of getting rid of them faster (other than laser??! And does anyone have experience of this in worst case scenario). Have been told sweat and saunas help, is this really going to work? As I'll steam my face every day if so.... Tia

things like acid face treatments fade them. retinoid products in particular. I use the ordinary retinoid and always avoid my sp eyebrows because of this.

Thanks brookelopez! I put a retinoid cream on them sometimes... Hard to tell if its making any difference though... I'll look at acid treatments too.

derma rollers can help too because they're made to regenerate the collagen under the skin. you can pick them up on eBay quite cheap. 0.5mm needles are as long as you'd want to go. YouTube has 'how to' videos to use them. can I ask why you want them to fade rather than have a top up? I love mine. I have oily skin so need them doing every 6 months or so, mine fade dead fast 🙄

Oh I've not heard of that I'll have a look thankyou. Tbh I don't really like the shape, feel they are a bit too arched.. And quite dark. Wish I'd had microblading but was told it wouldn't work on my skin. I had always had oily skin so assumed they would fade fast also, but it seems not this time! Maybe not as oily as used to be.

I had ombré brows doing too last winter. Cost £300 and mostly faded away (I avoid my face in the sun as much as poss, so it's not that)
Wish I could find a more permanent solution as I'm not shelling out £300 per year!

Op I suggest using oil as part of your skincare routine over your brows, that will help fade them out.

brookelopez · 19/08/2019 11:14

@swissmilk does the person who did your brows not offer a top up price? mine were close to £300, and for top ups she charges £60 for appointments within 8 months. my lady stopped doing ombre brows because of how much/fast they fade.

Billyjoe10 · 19/08/2019 12:36

Looks like I'm just unlucky then (typical as some would love them not to fade...!) just done my derma abrasion thingy and tbh they have faded a bit so look a bit more natural in places, mainly close to centre of face so maybe from sweat? I'm out in the sun quite a lot and have been using oil moisturisers a while now so I will just carry on with that and try a bit of the other suggestions thanks. Oh and yes she does do a deal on top ups but like I say I feel they will look better once they fade a bit.

Sorry just realised the top up comment wasn't for me!

I had a bad eyebrow sm tattoo experience and had to get saline injected to reverse it, which worked quite well. I then had a better shape tatted on top.

Find someone who does eyebrow correction - if you live anywhere near Manchester I can recommend someone!

Billyjoe10 · 19/08/2019 14:06

Thanks clouds! Nowhere near Manchester though.... And really can't imagine trying again as I think they might be ok once faded a bit.

Thanks @brookelopez good idea, I'll ask her.
Which method did your brow lady switch to
instead of ombré?

brookelopez · 19/08/2019 17:37

@swissmilk my lady does microblading and powder brows. she offered these types alongside the ombre and just doesn't offer that anymore. if you like the ombre look but not the fade, you could have microblading done at the start of your brows then powder on the ends. that's what I had done
