Has anyone used stitch fix?

I'm tempted with it and just looking for opinions about quality of fabric and ease of use.
I think the concept is good and might help me build a more capsule wardrobe

I tried it recently. Quality: they source from lots of different shops so quality is the same mix you would get yourself from going to lots of different shops these days. Everything I was sent seemed fine quality wise but a pair of Mango trousers were a bit cheap looking. I know other Mango stuff is nice quality though so it'll just depend. Ease of use: it was very easy to order, fill out all the info etc. One possible downside is that you have to return anything you don't want within 3 days. Fine if you're organised. Also, they let you choose your order date. I chose a date after payday then they delivered it a week earlyConfused. Another friend picked a date and they delivered 5 days later.

Overall, I enjoyed the experience and would try it again. They chose some things I wouldn't have thought of trying and there was something very nice about getting a box of surprise clothes delivered!

I have heard from other people that their box contents got better after a few goes.

I've been using Lookiero, but thought I'd give StitchFix a go, too. It was pretty good for a first box and based on the info I'd given about myself. There were a couple of things I really liked, one a top which I already had loads similar too and the other a snake print midi-skirt with 2 splits. I'd probably never have tried it on in a shop or if I'd seen it online, but I loved it and ended up keeping it. Its fab! With SF and Lookiero, the £10 monthly fee seems to be credited against any purchases, which I think is good.

I like that a lot of the things I've been sent, especially Lookiero, is from European brands that I've never been aware of.

I guess I joined both schemes to try and get just a little outside the normal stuff I keep buying over and over. Its ideal for me. With Lookiero, you can give them access to your Pinterest style board, if you have one, to give your stylist ideas on what you like and what you'd like to try. You can ask for a trend led box or fir your items to be more timeless and you can set price limits.

With both boxes, you can leave comments on what did and didn't work, what colours etc you'd like to try and you can ask to change stylist, too. I think it's been better for me to stick with one stylist, so we can learn together. Returns go in a postage paid bag, mine have all been via Hermes so I have taken the bags to the local pick up point at the Co-Op.

The only downside I can think of with StitchFix is the limited time you have to decide and send back anything you don't want. It's not ideal at all and I believe I'm not the only one to have fed that back. Fingers crossed they change that as it could be a reason to just stick with Lookiero instead.

I don't think you've anything to lose giving it a go. Lookiero do your first box without the stylist charge. Not sure about StitchFix.

I’ve just received my first box from them. It had 2 Warehouse items, a Mango skirt, an Oasis top and a jersey dress from one of their “exclusive” brands. It was a mixture of linen, cotton and polyester garments which I’m personally fine with but I know not everyone would be ok with polyester. You can write notes though saying what you’re looking for and what you would avoid, so if you have specific criteria eg fabrics you like, brands to avoid, you could let them know in advance. I’m keeping one dress and sending the other 4 items back but I’m definitely going to get another box in the future as they did find things I wouldn’t have thought to look at and I appreciate that.

My box arrived one day early, so not quite as bad as what other people have had, but you only get 3 days to decide what you’re keeping so if stuff arrives when you’re not expecting it that might not be ideal!

I'm glad you asked this; I just started an account - think I will give it a whirl as I'm stuck in a fatface rut haha Confused

Disappointed they only go up to size 18. I'm currently a 20. 😔

I'm due my second stitch fix any day now. I've opted for quarterly for now.

My friend is currently monthly & wants to go up to 3 weeks.

Top tip: add plenty of detail to your notes to the stylist & your feedback.

I need all the help I can get in terms of clothe choices - I'm completely lost.

I love it - tiny fee for a LOT of help.

I want to try but am 6ft and it doesn’t seem to take height into account.

I've been really impressed with Stitchfix. I've had 3 boxes now and it definitely gets better as they take your feedback onboard. It's good to be as specific as possible about the fabrics you like, dislike. My third box was fantastic. Had some gorgeous bits in there!
