That might have been me - I have three pairs and love them!

Am intrigued by them ... do they look good if you are a bit of a barrel fat legs yourself?

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 17/08/2019 22:59

ponks I am a hippy size 10, big bum, fairly chunky thighs, but v small waist, and they are a perfect fit on me. I wear them with either a tucked in t-shirt, or a slightly cropped jumper which sits just on the waist (no stomach flashing), depending on the time of year.

If you are a fan of skinny jeans with a floaty top or long jumper - I never was and always wore skinnies with a more fitted top - then the floaty top/long jumper probably won’t work here. I think they might be something that look better on pear or Hourglass type shapes than apple shapes.

Can anyone advise on size? I think the 32 is meant to fit a size 14 but I'm also reading that they run big - ?

Swiftier · 20/08/2019 13:54

I love them! They run a bit big in my experience so if in between sizes I’d order down. They work for me as I have a small waist and muscular thighs/bum.

What ones have you got OP?

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 20/08/2019 14:55

I'm a pretty standard size 10, and mine are a 27.

yesbutnobut · 20/08/2019 17:33

I also love them and have just ordered the corduroy ones! I order a size down - I'm a 26 in most jeans but get the 24 in these. Initially they're a little snug but soon give.

ThomasinaandSeptimus · 20/08/2019 18:21

I’m tempted by these... what will you wear them with in the autumn/winter though? I can’t stand having cold ankles!

kaytees · 20/08/2019 19:24

It was you @Judystilldreamsofhorses - I'm still waiting for an opportunity to go and try them on based on your recommendation! I did however buy a pair of Asos straight leg recycled denim ones after your suggestion of the whistles ones for curves and they fit well, so I'm hopeful!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 20/08/2019 20:02

yesbutnobut I ordered the cords but returned them - I had to go up a size in those to 28, and even then thought they were a bit neat.

thomasina I wear socks and either trainers or brogues. They don’t look good on me with boots, but I mainly wear wear Chelsea boots so maybe it’s that. I favour a fancy/jazzy sock so it looks like a “thing”.

kaytees they are honestly the best jeans. I think Whistles usually do a 20% off in September...!

Can someone hit us with a link?

nzeire · 20/08/2019 20:35

first pair are way too big, I’m a 12 and went for a 32 (I wear everything oversized). They still work well for me belted and rolled up. I LOVE them! My second psi, arriving tomorrow will be a better fit at size 30.

I’ve dressed up blouse and boots, and down with T-shirt and sneakers. Get loads of compliments!

Took a day to really fall in love, first thought I looked like a break dancer :)

judy thanks for the warning on the cords - looks like I'll be returning them if they come up small.

CmdrCressidaDuck · 20/08/2019 21:51

Every one I've been able to Google up seems to be sold out in every size. Has anyone got a live link for one that's still available?

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 20/08/2019 22:24

yesbut to be fair I have had six solid weeks of summer holiday eating and drinking, so it may be me! My jeans are fine though, and if I had loved them I suspect they might have eased off with wearing.
