Front fastening bras

Sorry this might be more health than style and beauty...
I have a frozen shoulder which is getting worse and making we feel very down. I can't get bras on easily (even with the do up at the front and twizzle round) and increasingly need to rely on DH to help me dress Blush

Have been looking for front fastening bras but they seem rare and the ones I've seen online designed for those much larger of nork than me - I don't need major scaffolding, or designed for ahem 'bedroom wear' and I'm not currently feeling at my sexiest.

Has anyone seen anything?

Oh following. I used to have a couple of front fastening bras and really liked them.

Non underwired for me please!

Fstar · 11/08/2019 20:08

How about this?

Wonderbra used to do some front fasten ones too

Fstar · 11/08/2019 20:09

Some on amazon

Expressedways · 11/08/2019 20:10

Victoria’s Secret have tons. Including regular t-shirt bras, not just the saucy ones.

TheSpottedZebra · 11/08/2019 22:07

I had a similar issue. Sports bras are really easy to find in front fastening. Also, older people shops - Damart and the like -have them. Victoria's Secret as pp said.

I had this when I wanted a nice bra www.figleaves.com/uk/gossard-superboost-lace-deep-v-bralette/GO-006380.html?dwvar_GO-006380_color=743369&cgid=&list=product_range which I really liked. If you have a Google you'll find old season colours reduced.

But mostly I wore sports bras.

ilovecherries · 11/08/2019 22:17

Asda have some (only online I think) called comfort bras. But if you don’t need masses of support, what about a pull on bralette that you can step into - would that work?

NaturalBornWoman · 11/08/2019 22:21

I've been looking for exactly the same reason and so far failed. I am a bravissimo customer usually, and that Claudia is the only one. I just want a normal supportive bra which happens to fasten at the front but I don't think they actually exist.

EllieFredrickson · 11/08/2019 22:35

Thanks all for the suggestions - some to try definitely. Just surprised there aren't plainer ones. I had a sheer nude Gossard one for my wedding that would be perfect but they don't seem to exist.

plain you say?

plainest

Oldieandgoldie · 11/08/2019 22:46

Primark do some.

WeBuiltCisCityOnSexistRoles · 12/08/2019 09:51

I feel your pain (literally!)

I can't actually have a bra strap resting on my shoulder atm let alone the hoiking it around! I swear by moulded strapless bras - they do have back fastenings but if you do it up at the front, you can swivel it round and kind of "pull it up" over your breasts so you don't have to raise your shoulder. Amazon have lots, and the wonderbra ones are much "sexier" than a lot of the comfort stuff that fastens at the front. They also do nude as well as black. I actually have a great cleavage now Grin

Alternatively if you could got a soft bralette thing you could wear it to sleep in so you don't have to change in the morning? Disclaimer, I am a slattern Wink and don't need much support though.

Sorry you feel down. Is it your dominant arm too? Can they do anything for it? (Mine is not frozen, but broken and waiting for op).

WeBuiltCisCityOnSexistRoles · 12/08/2019 09:59

I just looked to see my best one and it's the wonderbra ultimate strapless everyday bra.

It also sits below my shoulder blade which is good as mine is painful. I don't know if frozen shoulders are the same. It has quite a wide band and sort of silicone bits which I assume keep it stuck in place and everything held up.

I won't put a photo up as imagine the troll hunting Grin

EllieFredrickson · 12/08/2019 18:56

Thanks all. Really useful. Will get some and try - the damart ones might be good - just need to see how they work with some of the smart v neck tops and dresses I have for work.

We Built - it's my left arm so not dominant thankfully but is starting to really impact everyday life. I have had some physio in last 10 weeks privately but not seen GP. That's tomorrow so will see what they say but not hopeful. Bad time of year as August is anniversary of son's death and I don't deal well with non-routine. Am trying to be positive and being able to dress myself will just help with the feeling of not being an invalid!

If anyone has seen any batwing styles for Autumn....

Meant to say will try the strapless too - though I'm so useless I worry they end up round my mum-tum.

We built - broken sounds much worse. How long to wait for surgery?

WeBuiltCisCityOnSexistRoles · 13/08/2019 15:14

I'm sorry about your son. That sounds very hard for you Thanks

I hope the GP can help. I think my friend had a frozen one and had injections into it (anaesthetic maybe?)

The strapless wonderbra ones (on me) definitely stay in place. They're so good I might keep wearing them even when I can go back to normal bras (I'm waiting to see how it heals and really really hoping I can avoid the surgery).

I hope the GP is useful for you today.

StarlightLady · 13/08/2019 17:15

Choose carefully, the reason they went out of fashion, if they were really in, is that unlike back fastening bras they are not adjustable on the clasp.

funkylittleboatrace · 13/08/2019 17:29

I only wear this kind now the best are from VS.
