Cuticle oil

So which oil do you rate?
I’ve terribly dry cuticles and have just had a manicure so they’re not looking too scruffy. I want to try and maintain this. I asked the beautician but unfortunately it got a bit lost in translation And there are an array of oils and creams in Boots and Superdrug

So do any actually do what they claim to do?

Same issue - I was recommended the Jessica phenomenoil or something but I actually just bought a cutex one from boots as it seems to have the same ingredients. No idea if it will work but like you I’ve got tidy cuticles for first time in forever and I’d love to keep my hands looking nice!

Let’s see what ‘those in the know’ suggest Wink

Ordinary olive oil will work fantastically but Vaseline is the perfect way to get strong but supple nails.

Look up Dadi oil, it's a professional one and it smells gorgeous

LlamaofDrama · 05/08/2019 16:31

I use coconut oil, that works really well for me. Makes my nails grow very fast and very strong (by my pathetic standards)

Burts Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream is great and won't leak in your bag. I also really like CND Solar Oil.

CinnamonSweet73 · 05/08/2019 17:48

I like CND Solar Oil and Lush Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter (not everyone likes the smell so try before you buy!)

Ukelou · 05/08/2019 17:55

Cnd solar oil is really rated by professionals it's the one they usually use.

MrsMaryMooFace · 05/08/2019 19:41

CND is excellent but it is made from nuts (almond?) so not everyone can use it

Solar Oil is good, as is OPI's equivalent Avoplex. A cheaper (but just as good version) is by Cuccio. My nail salon in Asia used to use Cuccio. It's available on Amazon and half the price of Solar Oil or Avoplex.

I used to use Avoplex which smells nice but is expensive but now I mostly use almond oil which is very reasonably priced. On days when I forget and can’t be bothered to go upstairs for the almond oil I use olive oil or sunflower oil from the kitchen cupboard.
