Can you recommend a moisturiser?

I’m 40 and can’t find a moisturiser that makes my skin feel properly hydrated. (Plain coconut oil works quite well, but slides onto my hair and makes it greasy.) Can anyone recommend one, please? I really prefer ones with natural ingredients.

The best for my dry skin has been La Roche Posay Cicaplast! Never fails me, although I don’t think you’d call it natural.

Weleda skin food is a similar intense moisturiser and all natural.

Sukin is another natural brand - I’m using their facial moisturiser at the moment which is nice but more of a daytime one.

First aid beauty intensive repair cream works for me.

Have a look at Sukin in Boots or Holland and Barrett. It’s a natural skin care company. I use this one and it’s lovely. Often on offer.

Neal’s Yard Almond Moisturiser works for me. In the winter I put on a bit of NY Wild Rose Beauty Balm overnight, too.

Also recommend Dermalogica Intensive Moisture Balance, though it’s £££.

The main thing I found to really improve my very dry skin was switching to a more creamy cleanser, actually. I use Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish these days and I’ve found it really helpful, (though I know lots of MNers hate it...)

Thank you so much for the replies!

I’d get some hyaluoronic (sp?) acid serum from The Ordinary. HA attracts water to the skin very well. Mine feels plump and soft when I use it.

I second The Ordinary
My new beautician recommended the hyaluric acid serum followed by the Natural Factors cream and it has worked miracles at very reasonable prices.

I've tried a fair few, both cheap and expensive and can't tell the difference.
I keep Nivea Soft which is medium thickness and good under makeup and Original Nivea in the blue pot which is heavier and good for overnight. Honestly with those two pots you're sorted.
If you find Nivea Soft too heavy for you, then Simple do both a rich and light moisturiser.
All these options are £4 max and often on offer for £2 ish.

Caudilie is amazing. Day cream and glycolic night cream have done wonders for my skin. All made from wine which makes me v.happy 🍷😊

Thank you so much!
