Facial acid wipes

Hi all,

I have very dry flaking skin between my brows and not really sure where to start with chemical exfoliants. I want to try the nip and tuck glycolic acid pads but dont want to make things worse.

Can I moisturise immediately after acid, or does that defeat the objectives.

For moisture currently using coconut oil and simple hydrating moisturiser.

Thanks in advance!

The Nip and Fab pads are good and will definitely help with flaky skin, just make sure to stop using them if they irritate you.
I only ever use chemical exfoliants now and my skin looks better than ever. Pixi Glow tonic is my favourite but The Ordinary Glycolic toner is also very good, cheaper and a higher % of acid.

You definitely need to moisturise after as your skin will be a little dried out.

Hi @CrazyDuchess do you mean Nip and Fab? If so, I use the gentle glycolic exfoliating pads, then moisturise afterwards. I've got oily skin, and if I don't lightly moisturise my skin gets even oilier (I guess because it's producing more oil to compensate). I really like the Nip and Fab pads. I found the normal ones a bit too harsh on my skin, but the sensitive ones have been great!

I have honestly found the superdrug own glycolic toner better and it's £3 or something crazy like that.

I find glycolic acid quite drying myself. Have you thought about Lactic Acid, I think it seems milder and more moisturising but still really effective. the Ordinary do a 5% Lactic Acid with Hyaluronic acid that's really good and it's only about £5 too.

I would suggest the Ordinary’s alpha lipoic acid rather than wipes. It is honestly magic in a bottle. You can see a difference after one use.

It’s quite potent so moisturising immediately afterwards will help neutralise it slightly until your skin is used to it. Only use it 2/3 times a week.

Thank you so much - this is very helpful
