Hi ive used it - I combined it with with perfectil tablets for hair skin and nails and honestly it really worked. My hair had really thinned out and before long it was much thicker. Make an appointment with your gp to get your iron level checked out - low iron is a major cause of hair loss.

Thank you @Chickaletta16, I've actually got some Perfectil in the cupboard (stuffed at the back and forgotten about til now!). I've just finished chemo so every part of me is up the swanney at the moment.

Revita DS worked for me, combined with a mega healthy diet - lots of oily fish (tinned salmon the simplest way to get this), avocados etc. Also consider getting your bit B levels checked.

Have to say, from a quick google Waterman’s looks pretty good stuff for helping with thinning hair.

Ben I tried Watermans shampoo and conditioner, i found it didn't lather very well but haven't had any more,i am now using Plantur 39, hoping something will help my hair loss, had thyroid test all ok, i am told my iron is within range but i am still taking Spatone which i have read helps,
Also using steroid lotion from Drs
I thought it was helping until i was put on Evoral Conti HRT but now lost more hair, so looks like hormones might be to blame, seeing Dr again next week
If your hair just needs better growh hat shampoo will help i think,or are you losing hair?, as you don't say

over50andfab · 03/08/2019 10:52

princess Waterman’s doesn’t contain sulphates (supposed to be better for you- gentler etc) which is why it doesn’t lather

princessTiasmum · 03/08/2019 11:02

over50andfab yes i realise that, just wanted to let the op know, in case she wanted to try it and expected a good lather
I might try it again after the plantur 39,it did leave hair lovely and soft

Ben so sorry i missed the bit about chemo, i hope you find something that helps
I believe you need zinc too for healthy hair
I am taking that too and Biotin, in fact lots of vitamin i have read will help
I have to say that since taking Biotin my hair that i have got seems to be growing overnight Smile

over50andfab · 03/08/2019 11:11

princess I might give it a go...I don’t have any more hair fall than normal now given that more hair fall can be normal in hot weather, but a mix of age and hair dye can leave my hair very dry so I’m always on the look out for something good to mix it up Smile.

Ben sorry to hear you’ve been going through chemo but great that it’s finished and you can start getting your body back to normality (IYSWIM).

I actually think it is quite good, I have quite fine hair and always feel it lacked any real body, since I’ve started using it I feel my hair is thicker and just looks better. I don’t use it all the time maybe every other wash or so

Littlepic · 03/08/2019 11:18

I started using it recently and I would definitely say it has worked. I've had fine hair all my life that suffered badly after I had my two children. It is noticeably thick since using the shampoo and conditioner.

princessTiasmum · 03/08/2019 16:00

I agree it is good but whether it works for hair loss i don't know, this is my problem ,to get hair regrowing from the roots
