That I look like a zombie, I've worn my hair in a bun for nine months and have lost all other ability to style it more professionally and I am very certain that if I turned up at work tomorrow I would be unrecognisable as myself.

So in the spirit of being proactive and not diving face first into the cupcakes my DH has brought home from his work, I am hoping that you lovely ladies will be able to help me make a plan of how to get back to work ready. I need recommendations for everything! Diet, skincare, make-up - you name it! Please help me!

Babyliss Big Hair - helped me a lot. Can you go and have your hair done at the salon?
My hair routine is very simple - shampoo, conditioner, followed by John Frieda volumising root spray + L'Oreal extraordinary oil on ends only.

I found that it took me a while to get accustomed to wearing my hair down after having it in a mum bun FOREVER, but I got used to it eventually.

I haven't yet cracked my own skincare routine, but I'm a fan of acids. Yay baby soft skin!

For nails, I love Primark stick-ons (on my 3rd week and they're just not pinging off!), but I bought a gel polish kit to see if it'll help me grow my own nails.

Make-up... I'm a huge fan of Makeup Revolution. Cheap, but very effective. Depends on your style really, mine is decidedly Instagram style, if you're after a more natural look, Bobbi Brown/Clinique will serve you well.

Dieting is simply Calories In vs Calories Out. All you need is a food scale and a calorie counting app.

I find that fake tan instantly makes me look slimmer and better. I like my tan mega dark and mega fake, so I go for Dripping Gold, but there's lots of great gradual tans or lighter fake tans you can try. St Moriz is nice and inexpensive, if you're in the position to splurge, try Bondi Sands.
