Has anyone had this done? I'm booked in to have it done in two weeks. I've seen plenty of before & after pics, but would like to know from an actual person what they thought about it, does it really look natural, are you happy you did it?

Good morning OP - yes I’ve had it done; about 8 months ago now. I’d wanted to have it done for ages but didn’t know where to go. Then when I started seeing posts about a fairly local lady doing it - with super before and after pictures - I bit the bullet. I’m a ‘pluck/shave/dye’ at home kind of girl for other beauty related things so it was a real treat! It cost £300 (but I think she has lowered her price recently a tiny bit - £275??) and for that I did a home patch test (she hand delivered the kit to me at home) and had 2 sessions. One a few weeks after the first to fill any bits that needed it.

I was beyond happy with the results and still am - from uneven, unruly wiry brows I have two much more even (eyebrows are sisters not twins she said lol!) brows that I can just ‘brush and go’; now powder or pencil needed. I still pluck them myself but now have a defined shape as a guide. I had micro blading and shading.

The healing was straight forward for me - but I (religiously!) followed her stated aftercare as it was an expensive treat for me and I wanted the very best outcome.

Is there anything else I could share with you that would be helpful? Good luck with it! I hope you love them like I love mine Smile.

*no pencil or powder needed (I knew I should have previewed before posting)

My friend recently had hers done and they are brilliant. She spent a long time researching and choosing someone who specialises in it. It's all she does, all day long, so she's very, very good at it.

I've had mine done - totally over plucked them in the 90s and then got hypothyroidism and lost the ends of them.

A friend was starting up so I went with her for £150. They look amazing! I really love them. I went dark and natural.

Thanks for the replies. I'm in Sydney and I'm going to a person recommended to me. I've stalked her Instagram pics and she does lovely work so hopefully mine will turn out as good. The cost is about $AUD500. Which is quite good for Sydney, in the city they are closer to a thousand at the high end salons.

I'm having mine done on Friday! Eek 😬! Beyond excited. I'll just be happy not to 'lose' my brows when I'm in the pool, sweating heavily etc lol!

Downunderduchess · 31/07/2019 10:25

@BearRabbitPants Let us know how they turn out!

I’ve had them done and they look good. I do touch them up a bit with eyebrow pencil but the nice thing is they have a shape, so it takes about 30 secs.

BearRabbitPants · 31/07/2019 12:52

@Downunderduchess yes I will do!

BearRabbitPants · 02/08/2019 21:11

Had them done today ! Very happy 😃

Sorry I don't know what the random 2nd pic was all about and don't know how to delete it ha ha

They look gorgeous both Bear Rabbitand Boomshakalak. I was only vaguely toying with the idea of having mine done, but after seeing yours I’m calling my local recommended salon first thing in the morning.

Luxesoap · 03/08/2019 11:00

They look so good. I’m saving up to get mine done in the autumn as I need to wait for the muggy weather to end as you’re not supposed to get sweat on them at first and I’m a menopausal drip.

I’ve over plucked mine and one is higher than the other thanks to my efforts and it takes ages to pencil them into something vaguely symmetrical and less sparse.

BearRabbitPants · 03/08/2019 19:43

They were definitely worth the little bit of pain and expense ! Just annoying I can't get my face wet for 7 days lol. Never mind- hubby is on hair washing duties Grin

GreyHare · 03/08/2019 20:31

I have had mine micro bladed, I love them, as one of my eyebrows fell out but now I have two lovely brows back, the healing is a pain in the bum, and you will panic that they look too dark and heavy for the 3 days after they are done and then panic that they have disappeared when the scabs flake off, and even when you are warned of this it still happens. Pictures are of it just been done, my baldy eyebrow before and me trying to take a picture of finished result.
