Wedding eyeshadow help!

I'm doing my own make up at my wedding in a couple of weeks, been watching lots of YouTube tutorial videos and I'm fine and everything except the eyeshadow. Mine never look as smooth and blended as theirs and the pigments not as strong.
Can anyone recommend and high street eyeshadow brands with great pigment and any techniques?

Urban Decay shadows with their primer underneath. Just a thin layer of primer over the whole lid, blend with a finger then apply the shadow with a brush. So easy and you’ll never look back!

Another vote for Urban Decay + their primer. I wore their eyeshadow for my wedding and it was fabulous.

I use ABH Soft Glam and the Urban Decay Primer- their eyeshadow primer is honestly life changing it is that good.

Definitely agree with the posters above about the Urban decay eyeshadows. I use NYX Proof it primer which is more budget friendly than the Urban Decay one.

Regarding technique; you can never blend too much!

Damn I was hoping for cheaper alternatives as I know I won't really ever wear eyeshadow again or maybe once a year at a Christmas party! Which palettes did you use? The naked2 one looks nice

I use Home and Bargain eye shadow.
I swear by it. My palette only cost me £1.99
I think the make is Olivia Hale.

Colours are all natural looking as well. Which is what I'm assuming you'll want for you wedding
Congratulations, btw Thanks

Try concealer over the lid, then colours once it's dry. I've been amazed at the difference concealer makes- maybelline eye eraser has been my must have recently.

A good fluffy brush is must for fool proof blending!

Maybelline 24 hour tattoo, looks great even put on with your finger

tilly2dresses · 30/07/2019 12:32

Thanks for the concealer tip that's great

I've found a 20% feel unique code so going to treat myself to the naked 2 palette!

Code is WOW20 in case anyone else is interested

I use Revlon primer if I don't use Urban Decay. I really do recommend Urban Decay primer for your wedding make up though - you can tell the difference - the finish is better for longer. A tube of Urban Decay primer lasts for ages (as do their palettes), as a little goes a long way.

While we're on the subject of Revlon... I highly rate their foundation (to the point that I wore it on my wedding day and didn't bother looking for anything 'high end'). I have oily skin and their 'Colorstay Oily/Combination' formulation is perfect for me.

Especially that you won't use eyeshadow again I recommend getting a make-up artist do it for you, or you'll live to regret it. If it's not perfect it will look terrible in pictures too.
