Choosing swimwear for first poolside holiday

In my upcoming holiday I'll be able to spend a few hours by/in the pool and swimming in the sea at the end of each day. (Other things planned in the day time.) Not had such a holiday before so zilch in the wardrobe.

Can someone wiser than me guide me to some appropriate choices please? I'm size 10/12 and 32F.

I want to be able to actually swim in it and whilst some of the stuff looks cute such as this...

www.bouxavenue.com/the-peach-edit/peach-print-multiway-bikini-top/401420_10IX.html?cgid=1000659#start=6

or this:
www.bouxavenue.com/swimsuits/sardinia-swimsuit/401303_70UX.html?cgid=1000048

... I worry about my boobs falling out of them whilst swimming even though they'd look nice worn on a sun lounger so wondering if I ought to get a 'proper' swim costume such as these:

www.next.co.uk/style/st021762#896739

To get me between the hotel room and the pool I was thinking perhaps this www.bouxavenue.com/beachwear/wrap-front-cover-up/310002_01BL.html?cgid=1000525#p=3&start=64 or similar.

I have black flip - flops.

Think I prefer a swimsuit rather than bikini as horrid tummy.

Have Next vouchers so great if something suitable there.

Thanks in advance.

Have a look at the Figleaves site, it's expensive but they do bikinis & swimming costumes with bra size cups which is good & often have offers on.
I'm 32F & got 3 pretty halterneck bikinis from Figleaves which I've been swimming in the sea in & plan to wear to the local pool, if you get the right size you won't fall out!
Next also do cup sizes but I'm not sure what size they go up to?

For cover ups the boux Avenue kaftan style top is nice, but if you want something a little more colourful look at Accessorize, there's more available online than in the stores, & look online at the River Island 'beach' section. Try to get cotton rather than anything else.

My dd, who's the same size as you, and only happy with underwired costumes, has had successes with both Next, navy and white stripe - slightly retro feel - looks fantastic, they have several other patterns too; and with House of Fraser sales. They have Aussie brands which are well put together, and more wired styles than Debenhams. John Lewis had a decent selection too, but were a bit pricier. Boux Avenue just didn't fit her properly, sadly, their styles were great. She's glad she had the chance to try the cossies on, as while disappointing, it saved having to return stuff.

New Look didn't have anything in our local branch, the non wired ones she tried on felt very insecure. Bravissimo do swimwear as well as bras, but she didn't try them.

Good luck, and hope you have a great holiday

Re the good Next one you mentioned - was it this by any chance?

There are a few blue stripe ones on there but that's the only one that comes up if I tick the 'underwired' filter.

thanks

Tierra - I will check out those halterneck bikinis now.
Thanks

Try Freya. Brastop or Leila sale stock.

I'm a 30f, size 12. I like curvy Kate bikinis, nice and supportive, as comfy as a bra so I don't get achy boobs by the end of the day ifykiwm

Whatever you decide on, if you go for a bikini or a cosie with a back clasp (l personally hate the latter but heed my advice regardless), there are 2 important things to watch for:

  1. Make sure it has a metal clasp, platic clasps go brittle and snap in the heat.
  1. Make sure it has an easy clasp to do up and undo. They are often not as easy a everyday bra, There is nothing worse than wrestling to do it up when changing or if you decide to take your top off pool side.

PS: and avoid thick lining, it might look nicer, but horrible when laying around waiting to dry out. It’s even worse than wet cuffs when you have been washing up.
