Replacement for my favourite black cardigan?

You might think black cardigans are ten a penny and there was a time when I had at least a dozen, but since I found the perfect one for me I binned all the others and it has served me impeccably for the past five years ... until today, when I realised too late that had left it on the train!!! Sad

It's surprised me how utterly gutted I feel over something so simple as a cardigan, but I must have worn it more than anything else in my wardrobe and replacing it seems harder than I initially thought.

It's the fabric that I especially love - it's a fine, textured knit that's really lightweight.

After much Googling, I found the same cardigan for sale on eBay, only it's orange, not black, and I need either a size 14 or a 16, not an 8! It's from John Rocha and it's not the best photo, but does anyone know the specific name for this type of knit?

Even better, does anyone know where I can find a black cardigan in this style and fabric?

Thank you!

Thank you for the link Newtlover, I'm looking for something a little more sheer though. I'm also allergic to wool.

There must be a lost property you can try?

Think it's pointelle... like this one ?

I believe that pointelle has a pattern woven into the knit, whereas this is has no pattern.

My friend has suggested the terms lagenlook and cobweb knit to me, so I'm searching along those lines although I'd say my cardigan was not quite as fine knit as cobweb.

I tried lost property but no joy. Going to try again after 48 hours as it can take that long for items to be logged on their database, apparently.
