Work wardrobe - client visits - over 50

Hi there!
I have just got a new job which will be a bit of a stretch for my current work wardrobe. I currently wear WhiteStuff/Boden or Cos tunics/dresses and flat shoes, or 3 quarter trousers with stripey breton tops. I am a size 12 with no 'obvious' body flaws, but don't like to have bare skin on show.
My new job will require me to go on client visits and give regular coaching sessions to a group of trainees. I have had coaching sessions before and most of the women have worn sheath dresses and heels. It's not a look I love to be honest as I don't like the arms and legs on show thing, but what are my options?
I'll be working in publishing, so not high corporate. I like the "stylish art teacher" vibe and with unlimited funds would buy all of my clothes from Margaret Howell.
Can you recommend any places I could look for inspiration?
thanks in advance :D

I wonder when the sample sale is Floisme I went last year, and still pretty expensive, but worth a try...

There is an outlet shop near Oxford Circus, and I'll have a look for you if I'm passing.
I wonder if ebay would be worth a look if the shirts are that robust?

Why can't you wear the tunics you already wear with slim or Capri smart trousers ( like charcoal grey or Navy? ) I think with nice jewellery it would be fine. Just make sure you're ironed looks at crumbled self Again flat shoes are fine if they look smart and clean polished.

I could hotdogsummer but some of them are getting pretty old now, and I might ease back into some of them later on once I know everyone a bit better. My favourite tunic is a lovely green and white striped one from cos, so I might look there again for a newer version.

I’d go to Cos, Toast, Gerard Darrel, Arket, Jaeger used to be good but has gone downhill.

Thanks Sarf - I’m not in London plus I’ve mentally diverted the money into a boots fund now so, if I were to find one, it would throw all my autumn plans out of kilter! I’ve never made a sample sale either. I manage to buy her mainly because I know a couple of dress agencies / dealers who can get it sometimes - so who knows, it may turn up in a couple of years!
