Help me with pants!!

Who knows where I could buy this kind of no VPL knickers:

Cotton, NOT synthetic
High waisted
Not a thong
Mainly invisible under work trousers

I have been chafed to buggery in this weather by some synthetic M&S ones which otherwise beautifully fulfil the brief (see what I did there?!).

If they chaff then they’re too small rather than what they’re made of?

MoltonSilver · 26/07/2019 23:40

Having tried quite a few I'm not convinced it's possible for cotton not to show a vpl.

@Soola I know what you mean, but I started a job this week in an office with no air con - basically spent the whole time drenched in sweat and with all my clothes rubbing Confused my pants have never chafed before!

@MoltonSilver hmm, I think you may be right!

I agree with others there is something wrong if you are chaffing. Have you changed your washing powder or fabric conditioner lately?

I don’t wear cotton knix (personal choice) because they don’t keep their shape, there’s no stretch and the fabric is too thick.

Try looking for viscose (viscose is a natural fabric, it’s made from bamboo) or stretch lace (it breathes because it’s full of holes).

Finally, once you are in a chaffing rut/circle with inflamed skin it’s difficult to get out off. Plenty of mild moisturiser. And when you are at home, no pants are the best pants (with a skirt/dress until it totally heals.

Hesitated before adding this, and I refuse to name change, but in the end I thought why not.

Under most circumstances (ie not with trousers and definately not during a period) in the warmer weather, l don’t have a VPL problem because there’s just me underneath.

But I don’t go round wearing short skirts or doing cartwheels. Saves washing though Grin.

I have some Sloggi pants which are cotton, high waisted and very comfortable.

I have some very light NON cotton ones from M&S which are actually better in the heat than cotton. Marginally better on the vpl front but I don't really give a tiny rats ass about that anyway. And don't tend to be wearing anything bum hugging in hot weather.

Is cotton rich ok? I find a shorts style means less VPL. These are good:

Thank you all for your input and suggestions.

I really think it was this extreme heat and all the sweat - 34 degrees at one point!

@StarlightLady ooh you are brave Grin I like it!

@cakeallday - Air confitioned undercarriage! Once you have done it a few times, it feels the norm. It’s only a summer sport though.

‘Feels good - try it!
