Please help with ugly legs

Has anyone embarked on a leg journey from scaly, bumpy, pale and dry legs to beautiful smooth and moisturised pins? I go on holiday in 7 weeks and would love to feel comfortable with my legs. Unfortunately I havent shown them the care and attention they deserve over the years due to motherhood and work. I've recently started epilating and using a femfresh shaving balm afterwards. I'm also exfoliating and using a new scrubbing cloth. I'm just wondering if anyone has any wonder product recommendations I could try? I will check all replies (should I get some) after the school run but TIA

I use body lotion daily. I like Vaseline Intensive Care in the yellow bottle.

I would wash daily with a soap bar - it seems to really even out the skin. And use a really intensive moisturiser at least once a day.

Dry brushing before you shower. Then lots of moisturiser after. You will notice a difference in 2 weeks.

You need a whole dedicated regime but it will lead to a transformation.

Here's what I use:
Shea Moisture illuminating body lotion - use daily
Massage in cream or oil really thoroughly - Olga Toja has some YouTube videos on lymphatic leg massage
Wash with soap - pure olive oil soaps are good

Paula's Choice Exfoliating body spray - use a few times a week in the evening. It contains salicylic acid.
Ameliorate body lotion or something else that is lactic acid based.
Dry body brush (recommend Boots Botincs detox brush) a few times a week, do it in the morning and then have a shower or bath.

Use conditioner when shaving legs. Once a week, use a hair remover mitt (Superdrug or Boots) and then wipe over with a damp flannel.

Quick results - Walk as much as possible. Dry body brush daily and use a shower oil such as L'Occitane or Dove to wash your legs everyday for a week or two.

I used to be just like you until a couple of years ago I finally found lush Scrubee to exfoliate and then I’ve maintained it with lush charity shop moisturiser. They do a tinted shimmery bar called something like black stockings and I rub on after moisturiser that takes the edge off the pale if you aren’t brave enough for a drop of fake tan

ShellsandSand · 19/07/2019 19:01

Thanks guys. Oh I'm all about the fake tan. I look like a corpse without it but dont obsess about having it on. Just wish my legs were smoother so its look nicer when applied. I will try some of the suggested methods. I cant shave anymore though, it grows back way too fast. I'm hoping after a few weeks of epilation the bumps will start to fade out.

My skin if left to its own devices goes dry and rough. So I scrub my body in the shower every day with a salux cloth (rather than doing a weekly exfoliating session) and then make sure to moisturise my body every day also. Currently using a cheapo Garnier shea butter lotion (less than three quid in Savers) and my skin feels like silk. It's more about having a consistent routine than buying a wonder product.

ShellsandSand · 19/07/2019 19:09

@flooopers I just got one of those salux cloths from Amazon, I have to say that its already helped alot with the dry skin. I'm just bumpy when I run my hands over my legs.
