Hiya

So after 6 children and weight lose my boobs are no longer boobs😞 I'm just wondering does anyone know of a really good bra with padding that will support my boobs and give me a lift! The ones I've tried so far my boobs/,skin just come out from top and sides 😫

The "2 sizes bigger" bras from asda and primark are really good for giving the illusion of fullness, cheap too.

Mopmum35 · 16/07/2019 15:38

Thanks ChihuahuaMummy1, I'm there tomorrow so will have a look.

You could also try some of the chicken fillets? My mum uses one after being left lopsided following breast cancer surgery. You’d never know.

Mopmum35 · 16/07/2019 22:22

Tolleshunt I'll look into them thanks

First of all, congratulations on having 6 children and you have my full respect for this - no idea how you manage.
May I suggest you look at the type of bras which have shaped moulded support under and to the side of the cup on the inside - as opposed to lightly padded or uniformly padded bras. These will encase the breast and push it in the position you are aiming for and create a smooth edge between skin and top of the bra so there is no gaping (or spillage). I’m sorry for my choice of words but I don’t know how else to describe it.
Usually you find this particular type of padding on strapless bras. As they come with straps anyway, you can wear them as everyday bras with the loosest settings on the hooks at the back so that you feel comfortable.
Something like this you’ll see what I mean in the pictures
www2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage.0589017002.html

Or this one which I saw in the shop a while back had side built in moulding
www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10701_10001_152010648986_-1

I’m sure most shops would have a variation if this style but you need to see them (pictures online don’t always show the inside of the cups) and try them on. This time of the year there would be a shortage of best seller strapless bras which I find it counterproductive but there we are.

Another option are the mega boost type of bras but I’m not sure they would offer the smoothness you are looking for along the top. These are super padded and squash you in with some push-up effect but might not be suited as an everyday option. Victoria Secret do very good options of this style.

The inserts, as mentioned above, are an option for adapting your current bras but the padding would be from the bottom up, whereas it sounds like a more surrounded padding is what might work better in your case. But I’m not up to date on this so there might be more choices here than I imagine.
I hope you find a comfortable bra that you like and fits well.

Or Sports bras?

BuffaloCauliflower · 16/07/2019 22:41

Wearing the right sized bra will help. What size are you wearing and what does this calculator say?

Maybe try the Deauville model by Prima Donna.
Extremely supporting, very pretty and v good quality.
I buy one every year: so far have it in Cream, black, red and palegreen.
They last and last......
Worth a try??

Branster · 21/07/2019 08:50

Mopmum35 you are amazing! For sure you body served you right and to be a size 8-10 after 6 kids is unbelievable. You are blessed to have such a big, united family.
I hope you find the right bra. When you do, buy a few of them, wash them by hand and they’ll last for ages.

I'm off to google to take a look now, thankyou.

That's very sweet thank you very much, alot of people judge us with having 6 children but as long as we are paying for them and not being giveing hand outs I dont see the problem, we are rich money but rich as we are blessed , my kids are well mannered, respectful little people. Husband and I

( mainly myself hehe) have taught them to sign ( mixture of Makaton and BSL) and my 3 year old can speak a little polish.. ( we are british) so yea I dont know you but thanks for a lovely comment... still not sorted this bra so going to give them all a try from the advice everyone has given me. That's when I get a chance haha.

Balcony style suit me, not sure if that’s the same for everyone. Have a look at what shape they are and then try and find one to try on.

BiscuitDrama · 21/07/2019 14:00

Here’s a good example of balcony shape.

Thanks I do like that style, yes I think its best to try them first. It'll take a while but it needs to be done!

I can’t believe anyone can be in a position to judge you for having 6 kids! If anything, it is totally to be admired that you keep a beautiful family together and you look after yourself.
I wouldn’t manage it even if I had a whip to keep everyone in line Grin. I would probably even forget to get dressed and not even notice I need to sort out bra situation!

Mopmum35 · 21/07/2019 23:06

Branster
Thankyou, haha o gosh it is hard but it's all about being patient and calm and putting myself in my kids shoes sometimes. They may well think I'm crazy at times lol!
People shouldn't judge no, but those that do will be judged themselves by god.
Thanks for your kind words. Smile

@mopmum35

If you are dress size 8-10 I don’t see how you can be 34 inches around your rib cage. Because I’m at at the top end of a size 10 and I’m 31 inches around my ribcage.
