Wrinkles v Jowls

Hi, I'm 39 and have always looked after my skin (no sun, lots of water, treatments regularly and moisturiser since young etc)
I've got few wrinkles and I'm happy to botox them when they do appear!

But my jowls are awful! They are so aging and if I turn my head upside down they literally hang! Can I do anything for these?

Are saggy jowls genetic or lifestyle related?

Would you rather have wrinkles or saggy jowls? (I know neither would be the ideal answer!!) Is this normal at 39?

I have them at 43. They can be hereditary but also loss of collagen in the face as you age causes everything to drop!
Fillers, skin tightening treatments can help ......and any treatment that encourages the re-growth of collagen

I would rather have wrinkles any day. I've been doing face yoga for the last six years to keep jowls at bay as my mum and granny had them. I'm 48 now have a few wrinkles which don't bother me and so far so jowls.

I have wrinkles but no jowls in my late 40s. Happy with that. Make sure you are a healthy weight, that will reduce the jowls.

I have both!
Lucky me, I'm 41.

I think jowls are more ageing and they are harder to treat unfortunately.

Also if you do botox when you have jowls it makes the face look uneven. Double whammy!

Treatments to tighten the skin and stimulate collagen are good, so lasers, radio frequency, microcurrent. Yes people swear by face yoga!

Have any of you tried the facial flex device. I bought it recently and I haven't used it enough to know yet if it's working but it's no bother.. I might sit here and do my two minutes for the day now. My jowls hit me by surprise (shock) one day when I caught my reflection when I thought a mirror was a window. Just shows when you're expecting to see your face, some sort of filter is applied to what you see.

My jowls seemed to suddenly appear out of nowhere just recently at 49. The women on DM side of the family all have jowls even though they are very slim.
I'm off to google face yoga, I only hope it's not too late!

I have the jowls too, 45 and they have crept up in the last year or two. Hardly any wrinkles yet (oily skin), so i’m hugely pissed off. Can anyone recommend any particular set of face yoga moves before I turn into the Churchill dog?

I’m 39, no jowels or wrinkles yet, but my weight is low, I use suntan lotion every day (even if it’s raining Grin), I choose not to run anymore after seeing the high impact it had on my face in the mirror at the gym, I use retinol and I do facial yoga while I’m driving Grin
