Can I wear these shoes with this dress?

Or will the fashion police haul me away?!

The taupe shoes were reduced to £19.50 (from £69) and they're wide fit so I couldn't resist buying and trying!

This will be a wedding guest outfit for a family wedding if successful.

I don't normally look at Roman Originals but they seem to have some nice dresses at the moment.

I'm not a big fan of either (sorry!) but I don't think taupe (and lace) works with that dress.

MrsXx4 · 06/07/2019 09:14

No I think they are completely different styles and don’t go well at all! Just some slim plain black strappys would work better, nothing chunky!

Tootytata · 06/07/2019 09:45

Ahh...damn! What can you wear with this taupe lace shoes?

Not keen on either. It's all a bit of an 80s 90s mish mash. Can you find a non cold shoulder dress? And some non lace shoes?

I can see the overall shape you're going for, it's just the elements to make that shape aren't the best.

Have you got a bag that will match the shoes? If you have to wear the shoes then I’d prob go for a plain dress in one colour as the lace is quite fussy. Maybe a black pencil dress or a black a-line?

Myheartbelongsto · 06/07/2019 14:05

Shoes don't go but I think the dress is lovely!

Tootytata · 06/07/2019 18:08

Myheartbelongsto - thanks! Starting to think that it's a horrible dress! I'll try it on when it comes and see what it looks like on Smile
