Cabin luggage

Not quite S&B but trust you lot!

I need a new cabin case, sized 50, 35, 20 to meet stupid Flybe requirements. I need it to be spectacularly light, soft, and ideally not just black or grey. I also need it to cost less than around £120 pounds.

Any recs, please and thank you?

So TK Maxx had only ONE case small enough. Stupid bloody Flybe.

Hello, tesco do one exactly as you have described. We had exactly the same problem a while back as we use them a lot. The tesco one is exactly their measurements. We had suspicious requests from staff but it lots successfully in their holder every time. Note don't overstuffed as it then becomes difficult to fit in overhead lockers.

Pipandmum · 30/06/2019 16:39

Ha just try flying with Ryanair! 40x20x25. I kid you not!
Try Amazon I searched for Ryanair hand luggage and they had a good selection. Try it with your airline.

Pipandmum · 30/06/2019 16:40

Just checked - lots of options on Amazon!

KatyS36 · 30/06/2019 16:49

It was part of the it luggage range if this helps.

ScotinSpain · 30/06/2019 21:33

Have you had a look on the American Tourister website? I got sick of my IT Luggage bags breaking on me and decided I wanted something a bit harder-wearing. I bought an American Tourister Summer Funk cabin case and am very happy with it so far - I fly at least once a month. They have a range of bright colours and at least a few cases come in your specified size - most models have more than one size option. Well within your price range too.

crustycrab · 01/07/2019 09:50

Pip just assume the extra 6 quid for "priority" on every Ryanair flight

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 01/07/2019 18:39

Thanks, all.

I'll have a look at American Tourister - not come across those before.

Definitely want soft not hard.

Something like IT luggage or Tripp?

AnnaNimmity · 01/07/2019 18:56

this is meant to be the fashionpack's bag of choice Bit pricey though!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 01/07/2019 19:36

Thanks, both.

The pricey one is hard sided - I definitely want soft.

IT is currently the lead contender - my other one is IT and I like it a lot, mainly because it's super-light and has got 4 wheels. I was hoping for something a bit better looking though!

Mine is American tourister. Brought in Costco for £30 but it’s a hard case. It’s fab though. And suits most airline requirements.

fraxion · 01/07/2019 19:54

The Eastpak carry on is nice, lots of different colours but the depth is 23cm unfortunately. We have the larger soft sided luggage and it's brilliant.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 01/07/2019 20:01

I was looking at the Eastpak one. It's gorgeous - such a shame it's too big.

They have a picture of this wheeled rucksack in a Flybe bag check on Amazon. Looks like you would have to be careful not to overfill it as it will expand a bit.

I have a cabin max (without wheels) and it is holding up well.

fraxion · 01/07/2019 20:33

Eastpak have an XS size that would fit but only in a dark colour Eastpak

fraxion · 01/07/2019 20:36

Even cheaper HERE

fraxion · 01/07/2019 20:38

You could do a google shopping search on the Transverz XS some good prices

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 02/07/2019 19:03

Thanks again, everyone.

The Eastpak one looks great - I'll do some searching.

God, I'd be paying the extra for hold luggage and I'm brilliant at packing light. Or flying with someone else. Sorry, not remotely helpful.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 02/07/2019 20:55

Lol

I'm really good at travelling light so not worried about that!

frugalkitty · 02/07/2019 22:47

My DH has more suitcases than I have handbags as he travels so much. If you have a Costco near it's always worth looking in there, partly because if the case isn't up to the job they refund without batting an eyelid (upto two years I think).
