I am currently at my largest and heaviest that I have evetr been ( yes I'm a heifer) and I am wearing size 14 clothes...my tummy is large and makes wearing low waist trousers unsightly. I have a fat back which somehow entices my ti-shirts to sink into gross lines of flab...

But I am going to weightwatchers and doing something about it...but what the hell can I wear in the mean time..I saw pics of me at the weekend and I looked lijke a fatter, older version of myself..help!!

I ahve loads of reatively newish size 10/12 clothes and obvioulsy don't want to buy loads of new 14's...but I am stuck..

Couldn't you just get some cheap stuff to tide you over, until you've got some of the flab off? You know somewhere like Matalan, Asda or Primark.

You are only a size 14! From your tone it sounds as if you are one of those people who have to be winched out of their house with the roof taken off
I know what it's like to be fatter than you'd like though. A swingy skirt and a gently fitted, short sleeved shirt and pretty flip flops would look very nice, I'm sure. Try Primark/New Look.

And get a good cut and colour. Will work wonders for your morale and keep you away from the fridge for a few hours

fitted but not stretchy is the clincher - woven tops (eg shirts and blouses rather than tshirts) cling less

and get measured and get new bras, even if they're relatively cheap ones just to tide you over
a badly fitting bra makes everything else look shocking too.

Thanks I know 14 isn't huge..but it is not me..

The thing is, the more upset and depressed you are about it, the harder it is to lose weight IMO. A few pretty, inexpensive clothes and a decent haircut are quite motivating, I think.

Thanks everyone - I know that there are people with bigger problems but I just feel really down now...I will try having my hi lights done and maybe a cut too...been too long..

If you follow weight watchers properly the weight will drop off you and you'll soon shrink a dress size. 2 yrs ago I lost 6.5 stone in 46wks with them going from size 22 to a 10.

I've not been following the plan rigidly recently so have put a few pounds back on. Went back to WW last week, 18pts per day since then and this week I've lost 5lb - my clothes are already feeling better.

When I was moving between sizes I just bought really cheap tops from George/Peacocks etc as I was only in them for a few weeks and then they were at the charity shop.

Good luck - write all your food down - plan your meals for the following day and do some exercise - thats my Marjorie Dawes rant over!!

Thanks Chipstick - you're an inspiration! Well done you!
