I have a Braun Silk epil 5 and it’s rubbish! I need one which actually does the job of removing leg hair. I am fair haired so it shouldn’t be a difficult job.
Any good ones out there?

I recommend the Emjoi AP-18. I’ve had three epilators, the previous two were Phillips and they were rubbish in comparison. It’s the most effective but it doesn’t have any gimmicks aka you can’t use it in water. So what? That is a novelty and doesn’t make epilating easier in my experience. Skin needs to be super dry and oilfree. But the Emjoi is a godsend.

Thanks for the recommendation and for responding. I only want one which removes hair, don’t need anything flashy.

I did my research, read comparisons and watched YouTube reviews. The Emjoi has a lot of tweezers so they cover a larger surface area than most.

I bought one recently and got thoroughly confused about which to buy, even after looking at reviews on line. So I went for Boots own at £20 (mainly in case it was as painful as I remember from trying one in the 80s Grin) I've been impressed, it's no more painful than having my eyebrows threaded and seems to work well. It's rechargeable which I think is more convenient to use than a corded one.

Rechargeable sounds good. Thanks

Ok, I’ve got dark hair and PCOS. I generally don’t bother removing hair but what I do is home wax as summer starting then use my braun silk epil 7 in the shower to catch the hairs that come up. It’s an old model that works for me and I’m very hairy.

I have just bought a cheap rechargeable Lidl one and it's fine. It replaces a previous one from Lidl that lasted about three years before the battery started not to hold charge. I think cheap and cheerful but change often is the trick. Same with electric toothbrushes.

Ooh. Watching! Any suggestions for mini eyebrow epilators?

Update. I’ve bought a Remington epilator. £30 from Amazon. It has 40 tweezers, head can be rinsed in water and it has a 3 pin plug. Used it today and it’s great. Much better than my old one.
