Can I 'add' to my teeth?

I think invasalign may be a bit extreme for the one small gap i have is there an alternative that can maybe close a gap, maybe like a clay? With that in mind, can something be added to make the fang teeth more rectangle and rounded too?

Yes, look at composite bonding - instagram is full of great examples of this.

You can get fillings that are the same colour as the teeth and can fill gaps and they’re unnoticeable- my friend broke a front tooth and got a filling stuck on in about 20 minutes and you’d never know!

Ah yes composite is amazing - pretty cheap and looks real. I have naturally gappy front teeth and one next to them is twisted so it looks like a fang. I have composite to close the gap and make the twisted one look normal. I've had it for 10 years and it's still looking good (although should probably be redone soon).

I have a great private dentist that uses resin. He made me a side tooth for a bridge out of resin. Which meant that he could fit the bridge straight after removing the bad tooth. With porcelain I would of had to wait a few months for gum to completely heal.

He doesn’t like to damage any healthy tooth - so doesn’t do traditional crowns. (You loose the majority of the tooth when you have a traditional crown)

The teeth either side of my front teeth are recessed. I was quoted £600-700 per tooth to be built up with resin.

However I still cannot decide if I should just go ahead with braces instead.

I did Invisalign to fix a twisted tooth next to my big front teeth. Even after 6 months of treatment I wasn’t wowed by the improvement and we worked out that it’s because the tooth is slightly pointed. My dentist used composite to build it up and now it looks great.

I had composite on my front tooth because it was slightly chipped and honestly you would never know. It looks exactly like my normal tooth.

The only thing to be aware of is, if you're planning to have your teeth whitened, then do it before you get the composite. The dentist matches the composite to your existing tooth colour so if you whiten you teeth later your composite will look out of place.

Yep, I used to have a huge gap between my front teeth and 20 years ago I got a new dentist who fixed it just by making my front teeth bigger.

Half an hour and very little money later the hated gap was gone.

I've never heard of composite bonding. It sounds like exactly what I want for gaps at the front of my teeth! Would anyone be able to show their before/after results pls?

These are my son’s teeth before and after. It was so quick and easy! One came off shortly after because the dentist didn’t want to remove much of the real tooth, but she filed it a bit flatter which gave it more surface to adhere to and it’s held tight since then.

Not quite the same but I have a sort of built up composite bit on my front tooth as it was still twisted in slightly after braces. It cost less than 100 quid and has held for 3 years!
