How long to see results?

I started using Nip + Fab products around 3 months ago. I'm fairly late to the party when it comes to having a decent skincare routine, as I have oily, spot-prone skin and find most serums and moisturisers cause it to break out or are too heavy, but could ignore my blotchy, starting-to-age skin no longer.

In the day time I use the No Needle Fix Serum with the Dragon's Blood Fix Hyaluronic Acid Shot, followed by No Needle Fix Moisturiser. At night I use the No Needle Fix Eye Cream and alternate between Glycolic Fix Liquid Glow Extreme and No Needle Night Cream.

I think my skin is looking marginally better, and to be fair I've only had a couple of small spots since starting to use the glycolic acid (that have gone within a day or two) but my fine lines and wrinkles don't seem to have improved at all.

Should I be seeing better results by now? Should I be trying some different products / brands or give it more time?

I'm in my very late 20s, but because I'm a miserable sod, I have faint frown lines on my forehead. I tried Nip + Fab No Needle Serum and noticed only marginal results, so it may be this is what you end up with! I ended up starting a microdosing program of botox and that got rid completely, though that is a bit drastic. Given the products have given you results in terms of skin quality, I rather suspect that might be at this point. It also might be slowing anything getting 'worse' (not that there is anything wrong with lines!)

MumUndone · 24/06/2019 11:22

Thanks serge, I think a bit of botox might be the way to go!

I'm 34 and have used Nip&Fab Glycolic Fix Liquid Glow Extreme, plus the eye serum, for around 6 months. I've noticed my pores are much smaller though definitely still visible, break outs are definitely few and far between.

Fine lines started to reduce about 4 months in, so it is quite a while. I've also just added a St Ives exfoliator into my face care routine, and actually, couple with the Nip&Fab, this seems to be reducing my pores far more dramatically..

I am considering botox for my frown lines though, if they get any worse (though they have reduced so perhaps I should persist..!)

@CrumpetWithMarg I'd be careful with St Ives - the exfoliating pieces have been shown to cause micro tears to the skin

CrumpetWithMarg · 24/06/2019 15:26

@AquaPris oh crikey, really? Perhaps I'll steer clear then..! Thank you!

AquaPris · 24/06/2019 16:01

@CrumpetWithMarg apparently so yeah, anything with walnut in does it. Shame because St Ives really brightened my skin!

Retinol in evening (start very low and build up slowly) , vitamin c in morning. Have a look at The Ordinary products or maybe look at Beautypie. I find Nip n Fab overpriced and less effective.

Mrsboathook · 24/06/2019 16:36

Ps sunscreen every day also

MumUndone · 25/06/2019 13:21

Thanks Mrs, the No Needle Fix Night Cream has 'slow release' retinol but no idea how much. I'll have a look at The Ordinary. Was also looking at facetheory products, one of their day creams contains retinol and vit C.

For a facial exfoliate I like No7 microdermabrasion scrub.

Retinol reface by Indeed at Boots, skin looks lovely after a few applications, just use at night, but th best i have tried, very gentle even though it is retinol
I saw a big difference very quickly
