Brazilian blow dry

I've got messy wavy hair with highlights and am considering trying this

I love having straight hair if the hairdresser does it, but I'm terrible at doing it myself and don't want the hassle

With this, can you just wash and go or do you still have to give it a good blow dry?

Does it wear off or do you have to grow it out (and have wavy roots and straight ends)?

Slightly scared as 20+ years ago I had Korean straightening system and it was awful! All my highlights broke off at the root and it was unmanageable and all frazzled. I had to wait for it all to grow out. It ruined my hair

Hi @Pooshy
I have this done regularly. I have very curly hair that doesn't fall into pretty ringlets but is basically one big frizzy mess 😂

Once I've had the Brazilian done it completely eliminates the frizz. If I shower then just leave my hair without drying at all (which I almost always do - lazy) it dries in a way I am very happy with, not poker straight but every so slightly wavy (baring in mind naturally very curly) and not at all frizzy. If you can imagine when the hairdresser dries your hair straight with the blow drier, before using the straightening irons, that's how mine would dry naturally. If I want it properly straight it is so much quicker and easier to do - pre-Brazilian it would take me close to an hour to properly dry and straighten but with the Brazilian it takes less than 10 mins.

On my hair it lasts about 6 weeks properly and then another month where there is noticeably less frizz. It slowly washes out, it doesn't grow out.
