House of colour - Style session

I wanted to find out if anybody who did house of colour colour session went on to do a style session? I’m tempted but not sure how useful it will be and I’m worried it might just be a waste of money.

I found it very useful. But then I was badly clueless about style before, so having any coherent guidelines was an improvement. The consultant went into a lot of detail combining the "style personality" bit with my body shape and proportions. Also professional dressing, priorities for shopping etc.

I guess if you are quite into fashion and know what suits you might feel it didn't add much.

I did find it really useful. I had a decent sense of what worked for me, but I had wondered why certain items didn’t feel right when I wore them & it all made sense after the session. I can now scan a shop and discount items very quickly because I know they won’t suit me for either colour or style.

They also measure you up and give you detailed proportions and what to wear (for me, short neck so no high necklines, despite having small boobs!). Overall I think it was money well spent.

I have used the Style session. I found it very useful and it has helped me realise why my favourite clothes are my favourites!

Brilliant. Worth every penny .

I think it helps complete the process because it really helps to work out what's 'you'. Just remember that the whole process of colour and style isn't set in stone, if you fall in love with something that isn't quite right, no one will tell you off. It really interesting though, and you might find this part more instinctive than your colours.

I’ve had my colours done (not by HOC) & already it’s helping me cut down my shopping time by bypassing all the wrong colours for me. My shape analysis will be done 4m post partum & I expect that to be massively helpful too. Ultimately I want a harmonious wardrobe with not too many things, but knowing that everything goes together & fits me well. I think HOC et al are great for this

I think it depends how much you know about your style and how much time you have to look up free information.

There's a lot of information on Insta and Google. Start with the kibbe ying yang test.

I think HoC is very expensive for what it is however I had a fair knowledge beforehand and a rubbish consultant so didn't have the experience some others do.
