Dry scalp

I have always had a dry scalp but recently it has been far better using MooGoo milk shampoo, but in the last couple of weeks it has been terrible, really flaky. (I wear navy for work which looks awful with white flakes all over), I need to find something to sooth it and reduce the flaking quickly before I scratch my self to bits. Ideally something from a supermarket as I haven't got time to go elsewhere at the moment and nothing mega expensive either. In the past I have tried all the usual ant-dandruff/dry scalp shampoos with no effect.

Might scalp oil help. I think it is sold as cradle cap remedy. It might be worth asking a pharmacist.

You could try almond oil or coconut oil as a pre shampoo treatment.

Child's farm sensitive shampoo has salicylic acid in and works well

L'Oréal Phytoclear shampoo os good, there is a sensitive one as well as normal one. Stops itching and flaking. The Body Shop ginger shampoo and conditioner is good too- buy on line as that always have offers.

Coconut oil massages and left over night is nice, shampoo before water in the shower the next day.

I second the childs farm shampoo they also do a conditioner which is the best I've ever used.

I'd be wary of using anything with salicylic acid in it as it can be drying.

Third for CF sensitive shampoo. Sorted out my dry flakes after two washes and I alternate with a moisturising shampoo every other wash.
