New, very low care hairstyle

I currently have longish, frizzy, uncared for hair. I wash it every couple of days, leave it to dry naturally, brush it every day, occasionally bung it into a ponytail or a plait. It doesn't look great, but I spend very, very little time on it. I'm 40 and have s sprinkling of grey as well, which I also leave natural.

I want my hair to look better, and be more flattering, although I'm not too sure what I want. But I don't want to have to spend any time on it at all. No blow drying, no straightening, no messing with products. I want to wash it and leave it.

Does such a hairstyle exist? I would happily have a short back and sides like DH, but I know that would attract the wrong sort of attention at work. Can anybody suggest anything you think might work? I realise it's a tall order.

could you get something like this? its called a 'razor cut with long bangs' according to google

What’s the natural texture of your hair? It doesn’t sound like it’a naturally straight- seems like it has a slight wave to it? If you don’t want to spend time styling it then you need an appropriate style that suits your natural texture. EG going super short might be difficult if your hair doesn’t sit in a flattering way due to being wavy.

So you want to look lovely but not actually make any effort?
Honestly not meaning to be rude but that’s never going to happen is it, even the boys with short back and sides still have to put styling products in

I’d treat myself to a consultation with a top stylist. The haircut is key.

You need a good hairdresser and good shampoo and conditioner. Also a leave in conditioner.

My cut is so good, (v thick, wavy tends to frizz) I can wash it shove some conditioner in and leave it. Goes into waves and sits great. It’s below my shoulders and layered. Any shorter I can’t manage it.

It's got a very slight wave, but is mostly straight, just frizzy.

Inliverpool I don't expect to look "lovely", I'm more simmering aiming at "less crap". And not all men with short back and sides put pricing product in, DH doesn't, dB doesn't, none of my make colleagues use product. And they all look perfectly acceptable. That's r really what I want. Something perfectly acceptable that takes no effort. Which I know is a taller order for women than it is for men

Sleep that looks lovely, but I suspect I would need to do more than wash and brush my hair to look like that.
