I have a pair from Crew clothing but I'm not even remotely trendy Grin

LaPampa · 14/06/2019 07:49

I’ve a sebago pair I wear when it’s wet or I’m on a boat. They’re very comfy.

I have a pair of Timberlands that I live in.

Sparrowlegs248 · 14/06/2019 08:24

Thanks, I don't go on a boat often but felt like a pair would be useful especially in this weather. I'm a bit stuck as to which are ok and which are a bit granny!

Also Sebago here. I have multiple pairs as I trash them because they get worn so much. They're my summer uniform alongside flip flops. I'm not trendy though. Just comfortable in my own skin.

LaPampa · 14/06/2019 08:41

They are very handy in this wet weather. Mine are more loafer shaped than traditional deck shoe which I think is more flattering and are navy/ white. That said I had brown trad shape ones for years before and loved them too.

CitadelsofScience · 14/06/2019 08:44

Thanks for the Sebago name. I seem to have added a pair of Bala suede moccasins to my basket Confused

bingoitsadingo · 14/06/2019 09:39

Orca bay! I have had them at least 5 years and worn them constantly and they're still in great shape.

BiddyPop · 14/06/2019 09:49

I have worn through a pair of Dubarry's (took about 5 years of fairly constant use) and had a different brand (cant recall sorry) for another 2 years which didn't last (not Seabagos - they're on my list to try).

Currently have another pair of Dubarry's as we pass the factory shop en route to family on occasion (also have Dubarry seaboots, as does DH, and DD wears their deck shoes as school shoes).

I have also loved a few pairs of the more "loafer" style shoes I've had over the years. My most recent pair were purchased online from LandsEnd but very narrow so had to go back, and I can't find nice ones in shops to buy.

Sparrowlegs248 · 14/06/2019 10:27

I like the look of the Sebagos, and had already looked at Dubarry.

I'm not fussed about being "trendy" but equally don't want granny shoes! I was looking at loafers in M and S last week and found a really comfy pair, but my sister was horrified!

Oddly Timberland and Uggs have some cool ones!

JaceLancs · 14/06/2019 18:16

Suede toms

Muddledupme · 14/06/2019 19:15

I have navy and white sebagos I've had them for years really good in the summer when it's not flip flop weather.

Sparrowlegs248 · 14/06/2019 21:56

Those of you with Sebagos, what's the sizing like? Think I'm going to order a pair, bloody hate having to return though so want to get it right . Are they narrow/average?

Ummm I'd say normal sizing. Eg I'm a 41 in euro sizes and take a US 10 in Sebago Balas (don't think they do this style anymore). As they're leather they mould around your feet over time.
