Please don't say invisibobble as they ripped my hair!

I gave up using hairbands because of the damage but my hairdresser said pop bands are the best and I use them on my daughter.

Invisibobble are awful!

Didn't know they were called pop bands but they are what I use. I bought some of the elastic fabric and made some myself a few years ago but you can get mixed pack of 100 quite cheap on amazon.

Silk scrunchies, has to be real silk but you get no matting and tangles. You can get skinny ones that don't have the 80s/retro appeal of bigger ones from Silke London.

Silk scrunchies. Cost a fortune but v gentle on hair.

I use Popbands and my hair (which is prone to breakage) has been fine.

I dont get on with invisibobbles or pop bands, as neither holds my hair. these are the best I've found to combine hold and minimal breakage. I got so e plain brown ones in boots years ago, but website suggests they no longer stock them.

On a similar topic, can anyone recommend a clip that you can just shove your ponytail up onto the back of your head? I used to have a brilliant one from accessorize but it broke and all ten alternatives I've tried don't hold my thick hair up or are just so huge they dominate. One that's like a jaw but not with a big top piece
