What are people’s opinions of this style of clothing please ?

I like it. I have several items, a v neck linen knee length tunic, a maxi dress with unusual pleats on the side and a skirt that looks like a hiked up maxi. Also a couple of dresses.
They are really comfy and amazing value.

Love it. Why do you ask?

I really like it when I see it in linen on other people. I saw a woman on Saturday during the around 5ft tall, late fifties and around size 14 looking absolutely great in linen trousers, linen tunic and necklace. She stood out as someone well put together. Nice hair and sunglasses help I guess. Also, you need to get the footwear right. Arizona Birkenstocks seem to be the summer sandal for this look.

I really like the style but haven’t brought anything as yet,I have seen women wearing this look and always think they look fab, just wondering if the one size really does fit all ?

Not sure about the osfa idea....one size may fit many, but will look different accordingly. I usually want to try stuff in person or be getting cheap on eBay.

I think it can look great but I don't think it's an easy look to pull off. Get it wrong and it can look like you're wearing all your clothes at once and have slept in them too. I suspect the women who do it well probably spend a lot of time thinking about texture and colour and how to balance structured and unstructured pieces (or they just have an instinct for it). So deceptively hard work I would say, but worth it if you can get it right.

I've got a few bits. One Life vest tops from last year and a couple of slouchy wave tops from Laundryb. Most of their style are pictured on a larger model and a size 8 which is useful. I have IBS and the tops are very useful when I have a flare up or just cool on a hot day. I also love the fabrics as they're normally cotton or linen. I must say I don't buy patterns or bright colours though as that's just not me.

I agree with Floisme (who, since I've only seen her on S&B, I've got it into my head that it's pronounced "Flo-eeeesm" in a French accent).

I have a couple of tops like this (but other makes). One is very casual and pretty and I love it. The other one is a bit smarter and it's just gone to the charity shop because although I love the colour and the design and it's very flattering, it's somehow very ageing. I can't describe it but last time I put it on, I could wait to get it off again.

Also, both my tops are/were a lot shorter. I'm not keen on the longer tops - that's a lot of creased linen to look at. And I really don't like the long tops combined with the wide leg trousers. That just looks bloody awful.

Grin Nah, I do hang out a lot on the Parisienne thread but I'm not remotely French. In my own head, it reads as Flo-is-me but I think a lot of people read it as Flois-me although I'm not sure how they pronounce it.

I love it! I think it's good to keep it fairly fitted round the shoulders and keep the arms slim (as in the clothing not your actual arm) to avoid looking like you're wearing a sack so for that reason I'd avoid the one size fits all.
And yes I do spend a lot of time thinking about clothes and texture, colours and proportions.
