Small whiteheads on breasts - how to prevent?

I have large breasts - there's not a lot I can do about this!

However, in this hot weather (and probably due to the perimenopause) I seem to be developing pimples on my breasts - usually underneath where I am obviously getting quite warm. These appear very quickly, are a bit pus-y (I'm good and don't squeeze, although have resorted to hot flannels) and then vanish leaving a large red mark for over a week. I can cope with these mostly. It's the ones that then turn into a massive spot which will not clear up that I really need help preventing.

Going bra-less is not an option; I even need a sleep bra to be remotely comfortable. Bra size is definitely correct.

I've tried deodorant, baby powder and also washing at work during the day (not easy!). I cannot find pure cotton bras in my size which provide suitable shape and support. Nothing seems to work.

Can anyone come up with a good idea?!

Are you sure you are wearing the correct size bra? I can’t see how any skin touches skin if you are wearing the right size in order to get sticky.

If your bras fit well, what’s left is bra hygiene and sudocrem. When you get home from work each day, take off your bra, wash it and put on a clean, dry sleep bra. When you shower in the morning, wash that area really well, dry off and put sudocrem on the under boob area before putting on a clean bra.

Definitely no skin touching skin. It's about the sweat getting trapped I think - very hot building, lots of stress and therefore I "glow" more than I do at home.

I do change bras daily - and when I get home.

Can't do sudocrem as I'm allergic though Sad

I suffer the same. Found talc gives me a rash but I've just bought medicated talc which is so much better

Breathlessness · 02/06/2019 16:03

Damn. Is it the lanolin? Is there an alternative you’re not allergic to? It keeps skin dry and is antibacterial and anti fungal.

Would metanium ointment work? Maybe in combination with canestan (the one for external use) ?

Oopsy41 · 02/06/2019 16:15

I don't like using talc but do use baby oil underneath and found it makes a difference

Blastandbollocks · 02/06/2019 16:34

Not sure why I'm allergic - can't do savlon either. Might try baby oil - I was going for drying off, never thought about protecting it.
