Hi
I have fine wavy hair that's highlighted. I recently got an Airwrap so am hoping I can get it to good condition. I would describe it as damaged due to straightening and highlighting.
I've recently bought elastisizer which I love.
I'm looking to get a decent shampoo and conditioner as a treat.
Help!

I've got fine, shoulder length highlighted hair. I've tried A LOT of brands (Pureology, Aveda, Stemm, Redken, Function of Beauty to name a few) for last six months I've been using Kerastase (one got fine hair) and for me it's a whole other level - my hair feels and looks better and my hairdresser has said she has really noticed it - I wash my hair every three days, it's easier to style and colour lasting longer. Expensive but I shop around and look for discount codes.

That's really helpful. I've been looking at redken or kerastase as I've used both previously but years ago!
Kerastase I used when I'd gone from blonde to dark and my hair wasn't great. I only used one bottle though as I couldn't justify the price at the time.
Thanks so much for your help

I just wanted to thank you for your recommendation. I've washed my hair a few times now and I'm being quite stingy with the amount of product. But my hair feels like someone else's 😂 it's so soft! I got the Kérastase one for damaged hair it's in a white bottle

I was just about to say Kerastase when I read the title to the thread but see it has already been suggested. It is more expensive than I would normally pay but if your hair is in bad condition I think it is worth it - coz your worth it Grin

Great update.
Can I ask where to buy and how much? Thanks

Baxdream · 12/06/2019 15:08

I got mine from look fantastic. Think it was £30 for both. V expensive but definitely makes a difference!

Olaplex has changed my life- they do a really good shampoo and conditioner but what really works to repair damage is the pre-shampoo treatment- put it on for 30-45 mins then wash you hair with the shampoo and conditioner. After a few weeks my hair was transformed (I have bleached, frizzy hair).

This stuff is better than any of the expensive ones ive tried. Especially if used with the matching shampoo, but i think the shampoo doesnt matter as much as the conditioner

Summersunshine2 · 13/06/2019 15:12

Thanks.
@Branleuse do you leave it in overnight or after shampoo?

Branleuse · 13/06/2019 19:31

I just use it after shampoo like a normal conditioner. I leave it in for a few minutes

Feel unique often have offers on kerestase. It's worth the price once you find the right one you won't want to go use anything else

I have fine, wavy hair that's also highlighted. I've been getting some breakage recently (side effect of medication I take) and my hairdresser recommended Redken Extreme to build the strength of my hair up. He was so right! I could see a difference after using Redken Extreme shampoo and conditioner within the first few days. My hair looks so much better now and is getting stronger again and looks in much better condition.

I buy mine from lookfantastic.com. They've done quite a few promotions lately with up to 30% of Redken so it's been a lot less pricey than I expected. And worth it for the results.

Note: I've used Olaplex in the past but the results are a lot more short-lived.

Kerastase for me too. I've tried plenty of other more expensive options which have been good (particularly like average) but I always come back to keratase
