What super-cheap shampoo and conditioners have you found that do a good job, and leave your hair looking shiny and feeling healthy?

I'm currently using Boots' 75p Coconut & Almond. The conditioner is ok but the shampoo is nothing special.

What are your recommendations, under £1 a bottle? Thanks :)

Vosene and Vosene 3 in 1 if you need a conditioner. It's £1 in Bodycare. Removes all residue and leaves my dull wiry thick coarse hair soft and it shines!!

The Gliss shampoo in the white bottle with orange detailing on it is pretty good and has the bonus is smelling just use the shampoo and conditioner that 80s hairdressers used to use. It takes me right back. Available from pound shops, Savers and Home Bargains for £1 per bottle.

I think Alberto balsam green apple does a decent job especially if you have an oily scalp but it doesn't half give me an itchy head so that's out (for me). I am currently using the superdrug extracts grapefruit and papaya shampoo the orange one. 400ml for around £1 (it is always on offer). Plus its vegan, cruelty free and smells bloody lovely and fruity. No itchy scalp either.

Liking the Waitrose Essential 2in1 shampoo and conditioner. It's 79p.

VO5 revive me daily. Shampoo and conditioner is around £1 a bottle in savers and wilko.

Tresemme Salon Silk (the one with the turquoise stripe), £3 each for GIANT bottles from Savers. My hair is menopausally coarse and coloured but it always looks shiny after I've used this.

Pantene 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner Protect and Repair huge bottle £2.99 on offer from somewhere months ago. Hairdresser said my hair was in v good condition and asked me what I used.

Another vote for Alberto balsam. Good for a refresh if I feel like I'm getting a build up. I have thick frizz prone hair and I can't use the aldi ones makes my hair feel like cotton wool.

Brilliant! Thanks everyone!

It seems Alberto Balsam is the favourite. If I buy it from poundstretchers, is it the same as if I buy it from boots? I've had issues before where I've bought shampoo from pound shops and it smells different it doesn't seem to be the same product.

Dunno. I have bought it recently in Tesco and Asda and the Range. All at 90-99p. The packaging in Savers looks the same but they no longer stock the blue one. I got the blue conditioner there when they were selling it off and it was identical

I don't get on with Alberto Balsam at all, gives me dandruff and makes my hair feel quite brittle. Lots of people like it though, so its worth a shot for the price. I generally buy Aussie and Pantene when on offer.

Poundland is worth a look, they sometimes have Dove and Herbal Essences which are good. My friend swears by their Organix dupe, I think it's called Nutri something.

I went to Boots today and realised the Alberto Balsam there (the raspberry one) is the one I've been buying for the DC for years 😆 Yes, it is good.

Superdrug had Dove shampoo (which I love) on BOGOF for £4 so I splurged. Sorry for starting a thread and then ignoring the advice! I'll definitely try Pantene soon. That was on offer too, but they had so many different varieties that I got overwhelmed and gave up.
