Eyebrow pencil when going grey (hair)

I stopped colouring my hair almost 12 months ago and I'm happy with it but I think my eyebrows look weird. I keep them natural apart from filling in a couple of sparse bits but the taupe micro pencil I've used for ages now makes them look too dark.

Has anyone found an eyebrow filler in thing that is ashy light bown/dark blonde/grey?

I struggle with my eyebrows. I'm salt and pepper and colour matching my darker hair makes my eyebrows awfully bold. I'm hoping you get a response to your question!

I'm super 'basic' when it comes to make up so please forgive me if I have completely missed what an eyebrow filler is - but I just use the 'blondest' eyebrow pencil you can get -- the pencil lead is a creamy beige colour which I imagined would look ridiculous on my face until I tried it.

I'm interested as a pale blonde, most pencils look orange or too dark on me. Have seen a lot of greying women with orange brows too!

I've found that the blonde ones seem to be too warm for my skin tone and greying hair. I've never been blessed in the eyebrow department and have never plucked them - even though I grew up in the 80s/90s when the fashion was to pluck them quite thinly. They're kind of sparse in the middle and towards the end so I fill those bits in with pencil or powder. I tried an eyeshadow which seemed to be a good colour but it didn't stay on long, even with clear mascara over the top.

Years ago I was recommended the YSL eyebrow pencil in the colour Ash by a makeup artist - my hair is actually quite dark but I have very cool toned skin and it's the best one I've ever found. If you use a light hand, it would be very subtle but a bit more pressure can make it darker.

It's a traditional sharpen-y pencil and it's not cheap, but lasts for ages - I'm on about my sixth one and have started stockpiling as I'm so worried they'll discontinue it!

A friend dragged me to the Bobbi Brown counter when I complained of the same thing and the sales assistant produced this www.bobbibrown.co.uk/products/2327/Makeup/Eyes/Brows?cm_sp=gnav--eye--brow and showed how to apply it - says pencil but I would describe it as an angled crayon. Much softer effect than the pencils that I had been getting wrong. I have the Blonde shade, which is a soft very light brown, but I see they also have it in grey.

I blanched a bit at the price ( £30) but it has lasted ages.

Thought I'd update as I've found one that seems to work for me. It's Nyx eyebrow gel in blonde.
Needs to be applied with a brush but staying power quite good. It may look a bit yellow on me in some lights but it's quite light and ashy, best I've found so far.

I came to say this eyebrow gel www.cyocosmetics.com/uk/multi-use/brow-lash-gel-j-tame/fair-medium
It's paler on than the colour chart.
