Bra intervention and recommendations for skinny ribbed dd

I've done a quick search but can't find a current bra intervention thread.
Dd, aged 18, is in desperate need for new bras but we're struggling to find any that look nice for her size.
She measures 26 inches where the band goes and 32 inches around her fullest part. We have limited shops in our city, no M&S, but we have a Debenhams, Boux, Next, Matalan and the large supermarkets.
She's been wearing a 30D but is now spilling out of those.
I suppose we're going to have to order online and try loads on, but I'd like a few pointers at what the best sites are.

do any of the shops near you have a bra fitting service? i would have a look and get her fitted. they will then show you bras of appropriate size in their store x

Her measurements put her at a starting point of a 26E. 26" bands are really hard to find thought so you're going to need to try 28s instead. However, is she's spilling out of a 30D (which is the sister size of a 26E and a 28DD), then I suggest starting with 28E.

You won't find that size in Matalan etc. but you might find some online at Debenahms JL and HoF. Sites like Bravissimo, Lingerie Outlet, BraStop are worth a look too.

Personally, I'd take her to Bravissimo for a fitting as the style and brand make as much difference as size!

Did you do her overbust leaning forward (as close to 90 degrees as possible), bra off? I'd expect her to measure bigger than 32 if she's overspilling a 30d (which is designed for 30 under, 34 over)

DeadBod · 27/05/2019 15:51

I'll measure her again leaning forward.
All the online fitting guides give different sizes and way to measure.
We don't have a Bravissimo here - I'll Google our nearest one but we're going to struggle to travel at the moment with shift work/exams and holidays in the mix for us both.

Just checked, our nearest Bravissimo is an hour away so that's not possible at the moment.

Try Debenhams, they have trained fitters (varies from branch to branch) but I've found them helpful and they have extended sizes online. The best option is an independent shop probably, we have one locally which is excellent but very expensive
