Shoes for water balloon feet - anyone else with poor circulation and high standards?

The worst thing about summer for me is footwear. Winter is great, I can live in boots; shoe boots, ankle boots, knee boots, even boots with a heel. Summer clothes are swishy and fun too.

But I literally don't know what to put on my feet in summer. I have truly awful circulation* so my feet swell during the day, made worse in hot weather. At weekends I can wear haivianas or trainers but the working week (office-based) is tricky. Any footwear that goes across the top of my foot (like ballerina pumps) makes me look puffy and any strappy sandals are trapping like a water balloon in a string vest.

Heels make the swelling worse too.

My mum had the same issue and went down the Hotter shoes route

Sorry about the rando emboldening in the OP!

Not a solution to your shoe issue, but could you find a deep tissue massage locally? Dh had one with very swollen feet and hasn't had a problem since. It was EXCRUCIATINGLY painful he says; there's really no way to evade some discomfort. But he's been comfortable ever since, his feet don't swell. With a good sports masseur/se it might hurt a lot during treatment. But it can be a huge success.

Thanks Xing. That hasn't been suggested before. I could handle a substantial amount of pain if I could get back into pretty heels!

I just wear brogues or loafers in pale colours or metallics.

Are there any particular brands or styles that you opt for Lucked?

You need a therapist who is trained in trigger point massage. I'd recommend my friend but she's in Australia.
