Revitalash bad reaction anyone ?

Hi after waiting for years and hesitating cos of price I decided to treat myself to Revitalash serum. Its a lot of money for me but due to age (menopause probably) my eyelashes were just awful. After using it for a couple of days my eyes felt sore. I stopped using it for a couple of weeks then stated again same thing happened. Think I probably knew the first time I'd had a reaction to it but just wanted to make sure as it was forty flipping quid! I've actually now got what looks like a stye or infected lash follicle. Has anyone else experienced side effects and has anyone managed to get their money back ?

I've used revitalash for about 10 years and never had a reaction although I have heard that some people have. Where did you get it from? As £40 is way cheaper than the usual retail price, it's more than 50% cheaper in fact.....

Hi I got it from Revitalash website , it's really small one think it's 1ml. I'm gutted I can't use it.

I started using it about a week ago and one night I applied it too liberally (so that excess product ended up on the skin around my eyes). The next day I woke up with sore red patches on my skin which I fixed by using some sudocrem on them. I made sure I used it more sparingly after that and touch wood, it has been ok since. I am a bit wary of it now though.

Ah ok, I was just concerned about it's provenance at that price but it makes sense now. Maybe try putting it further along the length of the lash, away from eyelid iyswim. Also, when I first started using it, the method of application was to paint it along the lid, like liquid eyeliner. Instructions were then changed to applying it at the base of the lash so maybe try on the eyelid. I have had a blocked gland at the base of an eyelash before, come to think of it but I never connected it with revitalash and it only happened once. Liz Earle eyesight worked an absolute treat - highly recommend Smile

EYE BRIGHT!!

It does irritate for about a week then goes so stick with it if you can. I use it and Revitabrow as my previously v thick brows were getting patchy - worked wonders but takes a long time.

Agree withg Dame Doom

I posted on here about it a couple of years ago and didn't get any replies.
It made my eyes so sore and watery that I ended up throwing it in the bin.
Never again and I was so disappointed. I paid about the same you OP in a set from QVC but I stupidly threw the box away so I couldn't return it.

Hi thanks everyone. The blocked follicle has cleared up now. Im not sure what to do, whether to try again and hope it gets better. Yeah I think the instructions say to put it along the lash line, which I find really hard without glasses! I have to use a magnifying mirror. I previously used Malvala lash serum about 5 years ago much cheaper but didn't have a dramatic effect. It did help a bit, but you applied that to lashes with a mascara brush which was so much easier. I do think my skin has become more sensitive with menopause as well, which is crap! I will look at Liz Earle eyebright stuff, I frequently use witch hazel on cotton wool pads to try and help with puffiness etc

I had the same for about two weeks but it's fine now.

Bottom lashes are easier as the product doesn't run into the eye. I would try doing just the bottom for a few days and see if you get a reaction. If not, you know what the issue is.

Make sure the brush is almost dry and keep half a millimetre away from the actual lash line
